Chapter-8 the restaurant.

Reagan's POV:

I parked the car when we reached the restaurant April was talking so highly about and went out to the restaurant, April leading the way, overly excited to listen to my whole story.

"Table for two please" she said. And the attendant guide us to our table.

"Ok you can start now" April said gesturing me to tell her the whole story.

"It's a long story April" I said not knowing what to tell her, where to start and what to say? Should I tell her the truth or not?

I decided to go with the former and easy option: tell her the truth.

"It's a fake wedding...." And there I told her whole story, getting all kind of reaction out of her and eating our dinner.

April stayed still for a moment, looking at something behind me, when I notice I try to look behind me, but April stopped me and said "Don't look" then I see: two girls following an attendant to a corner table. And it was Amelia and Faithlynn. I looked at April in confusion as to why she is been acting weird, we should call them to join us.

"What's wrong we should call them to join us?" I said to April, but she shook her head, and my gaze instinctively went back to Amelia and Faithlynn's table, and they were holding hands over the table like a couple would do.

"Oh, come on let her be, and you both are already getting married so let her be, otherwise she would be sick of you being around every time." She said rambling hastily. I just smile at her.

"So who knows other than me that it's a fake wedding?" She asked in a low voice as if someone would hear us.

"No one I guess, because I haven't told anyone besides you, and I don't know if Faithlynn had told anyone or not." I said truthfully.

"So, when is the big day?"

"Don't know, it's all up to Faithlynn to decide and I to make sure everything happens within the budget." I'm really worried about the budget, because Faithlynn like everything extravagant and I don't want to spend that much money on a fake wedding. I know for the fact that it's all on me because Faith doesn't have a job. However, I'll try my best to make it look real at least.

"Awwww you are already wrapped around her finger" April said pinching my cheeks, I slapped her hands away frowning.

"For the hundredth time, It's a FAKE wedding." I told her emphasizing the work: fake.

"Whatever you say, but I knew all along that you loved her until her boyfriend showed up, and from that day onwards you started to supress your feelings for her" I can't deny that, but I also can't agree to that. Faithlynn always had a place in my heart, and she is never losing it.

"Shut up April or I'll beat your ass". I threatened her, but all she does is laugh at me. She laughed really hard that she got everyone's attention including Faithlynn and Amelia's.

When Faithlynn looked at me, she had an expression of shock and... fear? And Amelia smiled sheepishly, coming over to us.

"Hey guys what's up?" She asked dragging two chairs and Her's and Faithlynn's food onto our table.

"Nothing we went shopping, then ended up here." April replied to Amelia winking at me.

"I thought you were meeting a friend that I have never met?" I asked Faith looking directly into her eyes and she start fidgeting with the hem of her jumper, then looked at Amelia for help.

"Oh yeah! We were out with a friend of ours he just left because of an emergency, so we decided to eat dinner instead of heading home" Amelia replied hesitantly looking at April as if asking for help. It seems like they are hiding something from me, and Faithlynn is acting like my stares are hurting her and she is not looking at me.

After eating in silence for couple of minutes Amelia spoke up " I heard you both are getting married?" I almost choke on my food, and looked at Faithlynn and she is turning red like a tomato.

I cleared my throat and response "yes we are." It comes out in a strong and thick voice.

"So, if you are marrying her then put a ring on her, otherwise someone will definitely steal her from you". Why does it feel like she is hinting something. Does she like Faithlynn? What is happening between the two of them?

"Shut up Amelia!" Faithlynn said in a threatening tone.

"Why though? It's the thing a person should do before their wedding. Where is you ring Faithlynn?" Amelia teases Faith, making her angry and embarrassed about not having an engagement ring on.

"Does your pretty handsome girlfriend can't buy you a small ring?" Amelia started laughing. What is up with her why is she saying all these things? April kicked me under the table and gestured me towards my phone on the table I picked it up and saw a text from April saying: give her the damn ring NOW.

I looked up at her astound to what she is suggesting, and she glared at me and mouthed 'Now'. So, I did what she told me to do.

I got up and went to the other side where Faithlynn was sitting next to April. I got on one knee in front of her, she looks shocked, while I start searching the damn box in my pants pocket and pull out the ring and said, " Will you do me the honour to marry me, Faithlynn Grey?" She stands up from her chair, her hand over her mouth and she just nodded her head vigorously and pulling me up on my feet then I slipped the ring on her ring finger, she hugged me, tightly, I might add. And I kissed on the top of her head while Amelia stands there dumfounded and April cheering for us with the rest of the other customers.

Then Faithlynn started crying, God I hate seeing her cry. I pull us apart and wiped her tears with my thumbs and smile at her and she smile back and hugged me again.

"Do you want to go home?" I asked her and April whistle "I see where this is all going" I stare at her confused while Faithlynn blush hard and smile shyly snuggling into me.

"You guys can have fun I'll go with Amelia, By Rea and her fiancé" April said giving both of us a hug while Amelia just scowled at me and left without a word and April following behind her.

"Let's go" I said and walked toward the car with Faith beside me, not before paying the bill OfCourse.

"What is the deal with Amelia?" I asked as I start driving, Faithlynn looked nervous all of a sudden and said "n-nothing".

I just leave that conversation because if she wants to tell me something she would.

After couple minutes of complete silence.

"Do you like it?" I asked referring to the ring, she is playing with.

"No, I love it. Thank you so much Rea for being always there for me, you are a true friend, I love you so much." She said taking my hand and kissing it. Well maybe we are destined to stay friends after all.

"Thats what friends are for, I love you too, so much". I smiled at her lovingly. It feels right to put a ring of my name on her finger. But I felt guilty to feel this way toward my friend. I have lost and forgotten all those feelings when she started dating Dan. Yeah that's her ex whose ex almost deported Faith to God knows where.

But I can't have those feelings back, I'm just helping her that's all. She would never see me more than just a friend.

"What did you tell Amelia about the wedding?" I asked, wanted to know what Amelia knows.

"I didn't tell her the truth, I just said that we are together and getting married". She said looking out of the window.

"So when are we announcing it to our family?" I asked.

"I already called both of our parents and siblings that we are getting married, so they all will be here by next month".

We reached home and I ran upstairs to my room to change and pee. For me, nature's call becomes urgent, when I got home.

When I got out of the bathroom, I saw Faithlynn sitting on the bed looking into the space, I put a hand on her shoulder and she looked at me with teary eyes, not again "what happened" I asked concerned.

"How can you be so kind, to give me all the time of your life? when you should be starting your own family, and here I'm stealing your time from you. You have always been there when I needed you the most, I can't even thank you enough for saving me, for giving me everything I have ever asked for and never asked for.". She said tears roll down her cheeks I sat beside her and cup her face wiping all her tears " you don't have to thank me Faith, I'm all yours, you have every right to have me anytime and, in any circumstances, you need me. I'll always going to be there to support you, to give you my shoulder to cry, it's my duty as your Friend to help you get through." She hugged me and cry.

I don't know how to feel one part of me is happy that I'm full filling my duties as a friend but one part of me wants to be there for her more than just a friend.
