Chapter -7 June 15th

Reagan's POV

"Open the door Faith, I'm sorry" it's been couple of hours since she locked herself in the room and I have been sitting outside so I can talk to her. I really didn't mean to yell and scare her it's just happened in the heat of the moment.

When she asked me to marry her, I was shocked, I knew what she was planning in her little head, but I didn't expect her to just kinda propose me. I was taken aback by how bluntly she asked me. And I have been avoiding her because I can't do this. I'm not afraid for myself I'm worried for her because no one knows what we are up to, and I don't even know how our families are going to react and what people will say. Because out of the two of us she is the one who care about what People says.

When I saw her running upstairs crying my heart broke, I never get mad at her because I simply can't she is so cute and funny. I was just trying to protect her.

"Faithlynn please open the door, I'm sorry for yelling, I won't do that again, sorry. Faith?" Now it's annoying. I got up and went outside.

I took the ladder from the garage and put it under the window of my room. I slowly climbed up and open the window and jumped into the room.

Faithlynn was sitting against the door, knees pulled towards her chest and hands folded on the knees and her head was on her hands. I think she's sleeping.

I shook her lightly, she lifted her head up and look at me, tears start forming in her eyes.

"I'm sorry" I said softly whipping her tears off her cheeks. She just cried more and hugged me.

"I'm sorry, I don't want to force you into this, but I don't have any choice, and I can't just marry some stranger" she said sobbing while I held her in my arms.

"First of all stop crying it would do no good to you" I said whipping her cheeks and helping her standing up and to the bed.

She sat on the edge of the bed while I squat Infront of her "Rea I'm scared" she said almost in a whisper.

"Tell me how can we just get married, it requires friends and families, tradition and what about after we get married then what happens in future"? I ask her as calmly as possible.

"It will take couple of years for me to get the green card then after that citizenship then you can divorce me if you want." She said the last part in a low voice while sniffing.

"It's not that I don't want to marry you, Faith, I'm just worried about you. You know what people would say and all that stuff? And what about our families how are they going to react about the news?" I said not wanting to hurt her feelings in anyway.

She just sat there not looking into my eyes. " I don't know, they have to accept us." She said with straight face.

"My beloved best friend, don't you want to get married to the one you love, have a family with them? because according to what you just told me it would probably take five to six or maybe more years for you to acquire the Citizenship" I asked, patiently waiting for her answer while she thinks.

"It's just going to be a fake marriage; we can date whoever we want while married to each other." She said like it's no big deal.

"I can't do that. You know I never dated anyone, and I want someone who is loyal to me, I don't want to just go around hooking up with someone when my wife is waiting for me." I told her truthfully.

"Come on its just a fake marriage, we can still live our lives separately." She said with enthusiasm like she had solved a case.

"But I can't do that, how can you be so selfish, aren't you thinking about me in this because as much as I know we are in this together, and I want to marry someone I love and want to get married not a fake one. It's important for me." I said, she is acting like she is the only one effected by it, but no I'm the one who has been affected indirectly.

"And I don't want my spouse to have other affairs, I can't share, if you want marry me then you have to be loyal." I said sitting up on the bed, because my legs hurt because of all the squatting.

"Okay, I'll be loyal, no dating or hooking up with other people, I can do that, now is that fine with you? Please just marry me so we can live peacefully" she pleaded.

"I'm not sure Faith." I said still unsure about whole marriage thing.

"Do you have someone I don't know about?" She asked. I have no one other than my work and family. The only people I know are my close friends from high school and some colleague from work.

"No, I have no one special in my life besides you." I said truthfully.

But why is she blushing I didn't even say anything.

"Why are you getting red all of a sudden, are you okay?" I asked concerned. And she gets more red. I touched her forehead and its not that hot, but her cheeks are.

"Nothing" she said looking away.

"Oh okay" I said laying down on the bed playing game in my phone.

"So how do we do it?" She asked facing me. Sitting on the edge of the bed beside my stretched, crossed legs.

"You should buy me a ring and propose me" her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"And why would I do that? As long as I know I had already proposed you and you agree" she said with a smirk.

"But I want a ring." I said in all seriousness.

"Why can't you propose to me, you are the one with a stable job and I already asked. So, it's YOU who should get ME a ring and ask me to marry you." She said leaving no place for argument and getting up going into the bathroom.

After thinking for about 30 minutes what to do, I figured out, what I have to do. I have to go shopping for a ring now. I should take her with me, right? So that she can get whatever she likes.

I got up and knock on the bathroom door "ok get ready we are going for ring shopping" I said through the door.

The door burst open, and Faith was standing there with a towel wrapped around her and her wet hair cascading down her shoulder dripping small droplet onto her shoulder." I can't go, I'm meeting a friend." She said nervously.

My eyes, travel from her eyes to her plump lips, and lower, I bit my lower lip as my eyes kept on going lower and lower, I squeezed my eyes shut and cleared my throat. She looks hot.

"So what about the ring?" I asked confused as to why she is nervous all of a sudden.

"Just get whatever you like, it will be fine."

"You know my choice, and apparently you don't like what I like." I said reminding her of all the things I had bought her that she dislikes.

"Take anyone of your friends they will help".

"Who are you meeting with?" I asked suspicious.

"You don't know them" she said not looking at me.

Them? "Ok then I'll not be back until after dinner." I said leaving her standing in the towel. Then I call my friend April. She is Faith and I's friend from high school we were pretty close it was a group of five Me, Faith, Amelia, April and Aron. Amelia and I never get along. But Aron, me and April has a pretty good bonding.

"Hey what's up, long time no see!" April said in her cheery voice.

"It's been only 2 weeks dude, anyways want to go ring shopping?" I asked hoping she would say yes.

"Oh my god" she squeals "who is the lucky person?" She asked over the phone.

"I'll tell you everything when we met, so you up?"

"Of course, pick me up in 10." She said before hanging up.

I waited for 10 minutes in the living room, while I was there, I heard Faithlynn yelling at someone, probably talking on her phone, but I can't comprehend what she was saying, then the yelling stops and I went out into my car.

When I parked outside April's apartment she runs out of the door and hopped into the car excitedly giving me a hug and squealing, I hate that sound. "Tell me, tell me, everything" she starts asking questions as I put the car in motion.

"Come on, I'm waiting who is this guy or girl?" Out of Everyone in our group everyone had their suspicions that I'm bisexual or gay. But I never labelled myself as any because I never had a real crush on someone and so never dated anyone. I don't even know how it feels to kiss someone.

I let out a staggered sigh "Faithlynn Grey" I said almost whispering. She looked at me wide eyed, her hand going to her mouth as her jaw dropped dramatically. She just stares at me for a moment " Are you serious? Duudeeeee?" she said shocked, I wanted to laugh at her, but it's a serious matter.

"Yeah Man, I'm buying a ring for her, and we are getting married soon." I said dropping the first bomb at her. She looks at me in disbelief. " But you said you didn't like her, like that, and how long have you guys been dating, does anyone else knows other than me?" She asked all the questions at once while I parked the car Infront of the jewellery store.

"I'll answer all of your questions at dinner, just help me pick rings for us" I said walking into the store with April following close behind. Let's get this over with.

We brought the rings, for Faith we got a platinum ring with small diamonds embedded in the band and a big red gemstone sitting at the top centre. And as for me we got a same platinum ring with small Dimond embedded along the whole circumference of the band.

"Let's go to this new restaurant, it's really nice, I have been there with Amelia before." April suggested and put the address in the GPS.

"Amelia?" I asked with a raised brow.

"Yeah, why." She asked.

"Umm... I don't know, I haven't seen her for like years but all of a sudden, she started showing up, asking me about Faithlynn. She would ask me to tell Faith to call her or contact her". I told her and she kept quiet not saying anything. Weird, she always has something to comment on.

"Hey, do you know something that I don't." I asked nudging her.

"No, it's nothing" she laughed it off.

"Are you sure?" I asked she nodded. I release a sigh she is hiding something.
