Leopold's face showed seriousness, his brow furrowed in deep contemplation.

"Admitting that Geoffrey exists is like shooting ourselves in the foot, isn't it?"

After spending so much time with Skyler, he hadn't seen any signs of delusions. Skyler wasn't deranged, and he was mentally underdeveloped.

Aurelia agreed. Because of Skyler's impairment, no one took his words seriously. Tanya could easily brush it off as just another of his harmless tales.

"Geoffrey's definitely Tanya's pet project, ready to step in as Skyler's understudy whenever she snaps her fingers. We need to watch our backs, in case they try to pull a fast one on us”

Leopold nodded solemnly. After a moment of silence, Aurelia added, "Sierra isn't by any chance Skyler's bride-to-be Tanya handpicked, is she? She seems too innocent, not like those trained by some criminal organizations.”

Leopold let out a derisive snort, "A crime lord wouldn't be dumb enough to marry an assassin: Aurelia chuckled, amused by the thought.

"You are right, and a man would want a wife with a squeaky-clean background, gentle and wise, instead of finding an assassin that he needs to watch out for at all times. But then again, Tanya looks like the epitome of grace and kindness. I can hardly picture her as the iron fist behind AK Group. I'm starting to think we got it all wrong."

Leopold raised an eyebrow, "If you could see through her, would she still be in the shadows?" "Point taken.

Aurelia shrugged. Setting up AK Group wasn't done overnight, and its secrets had stayed well hidden, a testament to their deep cover.

"I just don't want Skyler caught in this mess. I wish he could just stay happy forever. If he ever finds out his aunt is his mom, and that Chad from the Stirling clan is his real dad, I'm afraid he can't accept it."

Leopold toyed with a blade of grass at his feet, "Maybe he's tougher than we give him credit for." The grass, unassuming as it was, had a resilience that defied even the wildest of fires, always rising again with the spring breeze.

Out in the farm's small pasture, a few dairy cows grazed peacefully.

Skyler and William, brimming with excitement, grabbed a milk pail, ready for their first atternpt at milking.

After watching the farmhand's demonstration, they settled down and tried to mimic her technique. Sierra sat beside Skyler, looking for any way to please him. William glanced at her and said, “You wanna give it a go? Come over here, and I'll show you the ropes.”

"Thank you.” Sierra moved to the stool, smiling as William guided her hands.

"Just remember, you can't drink the milk straight from the cow. It's got bacteria. Gotta boil it first. "Got it" Sierra replied with a nod, wishing Skyler would be as attentive as William.

Aurelia observed from a short distance, lost in her own thoughts.

William had a knack for charming the girls, no doubt a Stirling family trait.

And as for Skyler, he was clueless about the love affair. Getting him to wise up about matters of the heart might be a tall order.

Leopold stroked his chin, a half-smile playing on his lips. “William's just like Arnold was as a kid, a real charmer with the girls.” He said.

"He's your kid, nothing like you. Shouldn't you be doing some soul-searching?” Aurelia mused internally.

“All you Stirling men are the same, aren't you? I need to step up William's education. There's no way he’s turning out like his grandfather, Chad.”

Leopold choked on his retort, "Kane's the spitting image of me, and I'm a one-woman man, Aurelia” Aurelia scoffed, "Yeah, right. If you were really that faithful, would I be your ex-wife? Please, Leopold, you're still a womanizer at heart. "

He was not as reliable as he claimed.
