Jerica’s POV

I wake up with this feeling of strength and power. It’s amazing. I didn’t think I’d feel like this. I didn’t know what I’d feel like but this overwhelming almost pulsating power is more than I could have ever imagined. But then, I look over at Reo. I suddenly feel as if my heart is expanding. My pulse starts racing and I feel lightheaded. I can feel my pupils dilating. Then I get this feeling like a literal string is tethered from my heart to his. I have a sudden need to be near him, to touch him. A love I never knew existed fills me. I want to cry I’m so happy. I was already falling in love with him but this feeling is like no other. Is this what he’s been feeling this whole time? How did he survive without mating me? I’m overwhelmed with this need I’m feeling right now. It is so strong that I almost can’t hold myself back. Pam was right, Reo is a saint for waiting for me. Goddess, that makes me love him even more. I can’t help but stare at him. My hand, as if it has a mind of its own, reaches out and rubs his cheek. He’s smiling like he wants to laugh at me. I tell him I’ll be right back and go to the bathroom to clean up some before going to living room where Reo is waiting for me. Still smiling.

Will I ever get used to him knowing my feelings and thoughts.

‘Yes, you will, and you know mine now too remember? Just stop and listen.’

When we walk in everyone in the pack and our closest coven are there and they yell happy birthday to me and start to clap. I smile and nod my head at everyone. I can’t believe they’re all here for me. It finally gets quiet and I speak to the crowd.

“I’m so honored that you all showed up for my birthday today. I couldn’t be more proud to be your Luna and I am the luckiest person alive right now. Thank you all so much. Please, eat and enjoy the party.”

Everyone cheers again.

“That was perfect, Darlin.”

Reo’s POV

I’m sitting here watching Jerica interact with our pack. She’s already a perfect Luna and she hasn’t even been made official yet. The whole pack loves her. Of course, who can blame them. I’m on top of the world right now. I was able to mate with her this morning. It was an unexpected surprise for sure. I knew she’d feel the bond but. Let’s just say I am extremely overjoyed at the outcome of today. I love her so much. Red is immensely pleased at the fact that Jerica let us mate her.

“Hi, Sweetie. Can’t take your eyes off your mate I see,” my mom says as she sits beside me.

“Yes, ma’am. I mean, look at her. She lights up the room, she’s stunning, brilliant, kind. I could go on all day about how great she is. And I get to call her mine.”

“She’s definitely a blessing to the family and pack.”

That she is. My amazing blessing. I don’t know what I did to make the moon goddess give me her but I’m glad I did it.

The party went great. Jerica seemed to have a load of fun. All the pack members made sure to speak to her. The pups absolutely love her too. She is wonderful with kids. I’m not surprised though. Finally, it’s time to leave. I take her back home and make love to her all night. Damn, this woman is perfect.
