Reo’s POV

After dealing with business matters I head back home. I decided to check on Jerica before going to my office. When I walk in I hear music playing in the kitchen. I go in there and see Jerica dancing and singing to a Britney Spears song. I love seeing her enjoying herself and doing things she missed out on for so long. Something as simple as listening to a song brings such enjoyment. I just stand there and watch for a minute. She’s wearing black gym shorts, a purple tank top and is barefoot. It’s sexy how’s she’s shaking her ass. I’m standing at the opening of the kitchen staring at my beautiful mate with a grin on my face. It probably looks creepy and I should announce myself but I’m enjoying the show to much. I’m only there a couple of minutes when she turns around and spots me.

“Hit me baby one mo ahhh!”

“Don’t stop on my account. I’m having a good time.” I smirk at her and wink.

She is blood red. I almost feel bad. Almost.

“You scared the shit out of me! I’m going to be so happy when I get the mate bond and can sense you coming.”

She’s acting mad but I see a small smile forming. I walk over to her and grab her. She tries to push me away, still playing the mad mate but it’s no use.

“You’re gorgeous. I’m sorry I scared you. I couldn’t help but watch my sexy mate dancing around our kitchen.”

“I forgive you. Only cause you called me sexy.”

I lean down and give her a big kiss. Then she leans on me and lays her head on my chest. I squeeze her tight and get whiff of her wonderful scent. Red is going crazy at the closeness. He’s ready to be mated. I am to. Not much longer now, Red. Not much longer. I release her and let her get back to what she was doing.

“What’d you when you got home today?”

“Had lunch with the girls then showered and napped. I was too relaxed not to. I’ve only been up for a little while. I thought I’d make a small pie for dessert tonight. Then I’m gonna draw some before starting dinner.”

“It smells good. Apple?”

She shakes her head yes.

“Awesome. I love apple. I’ll bring home some vanilla ice cream for it. I’ll also pick up dinner from the diner. You enjoy drawing tonight. I want you to keep your relaxed feeling.”

“Thank you. That sounds nice.”

I cuddle up to her a little more then give her another kiss and tell her bye. I have to get to my office. I have some phone meetings with Alpha King Benjamin and some other alphas. This vampire war is starting to pick up. We need to be prepared. I leave and go deal with all that. I hate to leave Jerica again but I have the whole day planned for just her tomorrow.

After my meetings, I pick up dinner and some ice cream and head back to my mate. She already has the table set when I get there. We sit together and eat and talk about our day. I’m happy she enjoyed her massage so much and that she was able to see the city. We have a beautiful city. Us and the other two packs in the area get along real well and make sure to keep our city beautiful. She is so animated about everything she saw and what she liked about it. It gives me pride that my Luna loves my city as much as I do.

I clean up the kitchen when we’re done and we watch a movie together. Afterwords, I convince her to show me her art work. She’s shy with it but when I saw it, wow, she is amazing. She doesn’t believe me when I tell her. She thinks I’d say that about a stick figure if she made it. I mean, I love her and she’s my mate, I’m proud of her but it’s not the mate bond saying her works are good. She is very talented. One of these days I’m going to convince her to hang them up around the pack house. Everyone should see these. She pulls me out of the room ready to go to bed. We hop in and I kiss her and hold her tight. It’s not long before we’re both asleep.

I wake up to a bright light. I look down at Jerica and she’s glowing. It startles me at first but then I realize she must getting her powers. It’s so bright I have to get up and go to the living room. Before I walk out of the bedroom I make sure Jerica is ok. She’s sleeping as if she doesn’t know what’s happening. When I step into the living room I look at the clock and see that it’s 3:15am. I bet anything that that was the time she was born. I wait about five minutes then head back to the bedroom. Jerica’s glow is starting to dim. I’m able to lay back down with her. After another five minutes or so she is back to normal. Well, with an added flawlessness that all witches have. Something about their face. You can just tell when you’re in the presence of a witch. Can’t always tell by looking if they are virginal or demonic but that’s neither here nor there. My mate is the most beautiful of virginal witches there ever was. I settle back down and hold her again. I’m asleep within a few minutes. When I wake up next, my mate will feel the bond. I’m more than ready. The thought alone helps me to sleep better.
