I lifted my gaze to meet that of the Lycan king, everything that I had ever heard about him was opposite to what is was showing right now, he was soft with me and I felt like melting under his tender gaze. 

“He is my Alpha, I need to speak to him” I replied and Ryder nodded his head as he watched me move from him with Alpha Noah. Chloe, how are you doing?”

“I will rather go through any pain that awaits me in the hands of the king than be at your mercy again, you want me to be a second wife while Ashley sits as the Luna and I am just to warm your bed. Noah! How have you reduced me to such a level, was that all I meant to you?”

“You are so disgusting, Noah!” I exclaimed and made to walk away from him, but he held my hand, his grip firmly around my wrist.

“What do you think that you are doing Noah, let me go this instant!!”

We arrived at the ancestral hall where all the members of the council were seated and waiting for us, and the marital rituals began.

Ryder did not take his eyes away from me even for a second all through the process like he desperately wanted for all this to be over and I could be his.
