Lorena POV

“Are we almost there yet?” I asked for the umpteenth time as I was led by Miss Donna to a place I didn't even know. My face was covered with blindfolds and I could barely see anything but I followed her lead until she stopped abruptly and slowly removed the blindfolds from my face. “Okay,” I scrunched my eyes for a moment before opening them wide and looking around me. I realized that we were under a tree. I recognized the tree as the one madam Ruth had tortured me with. I closed my eyes and let all the feelings I had in my head disappeared and folded my arms waiting for Miss Donna's surprise that wa; supposed to be under the tree.

“Why are we here again?” I asked her.

Miss Donna didn't reply and instead pointed behind her. “This is going to be fun,” she squealed.

I'had no idea why she was so excited but I knew that something interested her. I looked behind and then I saw him. He was perfect and looks like the perfect man any woman could ever ask for. “Who is here?” I pointed to a muscular man who seemed to be around 6'5 tall walking towards us with calculating steps. He walked like a model and smiled brightly when he saw me. His side dimples showed and my heart fluttered. “Wow!” I exclaimed. As he moved closer, I recognized his blonde hair and smiled at him. I had met him before when I was hit by a car.

“Sow meets again,” he whispered and stretched forth his hand.

I scratched my head having no idea what to do. I didn't know if I should stretch forth my hand and greet him or just pretend didn't see him and run inside the house but Miss Donna was quick to react. She raised my hand and placed it on the blonde man’s hand. “You should get acquainted” she clapped and winked at me before walking away.

“Miss Donna," I shouted her name hoping that she'll turn back and face me but instead she ran off leaving me all alone with the incredibly hot man. Our hands were still connected but unlike when I touch Fenrir and feel a quick connection, I didn't feel anything. There was no rush of excitement or any type of reaction to make my heart race.

“I am Alistair and the last time we met wasn't so pleasant,” He said and I stared at him having no idea what he meant by tha I know that we've met before but I couldn't even remember what happened after then because I have not been seeing him around.

“I'am Lorena," I introduced myself to sound rude. “I don't know when...”

“It's all in the past now,” Alistair said and grabbed my hand pulling me closer to himself.

“What are you doing?” I wondered and placed my hands on his chest.

“You are so beautiful that I had to pull you and make you fall into my arms.

I chuckled. That was a lite bit funny because it was the worst pickup line I have ever heard in my entire life. ” Do werewolves do pick up lines too?” I asked him.

Alistair burst into laughter and nodded in response. He let go of my hand and tucked my hair behind my ear. “Of course littl human, " he pinched my nose and I grinned widely.

I have only known Alistair for a while but for no reason at all, I felt safe around him. He was different from other werewolves that I have met. “I know a nice place where we can seat.” he grabbed my hand and pulled me alongside him.

“Where are we going?” I asked him.

“You'll see’

Alistair lead me through into the forest. It was a forest surrounding the royal mansion. As we walked into the forest, I wasn't scared that Alistair might be a bad person. I just felt safe around him. After walking for a few minutes, we reached a large tree and stopped. “Alright, we are back to another tree" I made a sarcastic comment.

Alistair laughed and let go of my hand. He sat down on the ground and laid his head on the tree. “What are you doing?” I asked him and he pointed to the space beside him.

“Seat down and enjoy nature. *

“You bet," I refused to seat down after wearing such a nice dress. Bringing me to the middle of the forest was the worst thing because all of my makeup was all for a waste. There was no way the king could see when we were covered by the forest. “Trust me when I say that you won't regret it,” he placed his hand on the ground. “Seat.”

“Okay,” I trusted him on that and sat down on the ground beside him. “So what are you?” That came out wrong. I had wanted to ask him who he was to Fenrir.

“I'am a werewolf," he replied with a hint of sarcasm in his tone.

I rolled my eyes. “I know you are a werewolf. I am asking what you are to the Alpha king. *

“Oh!” He chuckled and his voice sounded deeper.

Oh my, he is so dreamy, I thought as I stared at him with all of my focus. “Fenrir and I go way back. He is my best friend. * “Really?” I scoffed. Fenrir didn't strike me as the kind of person who keeps friends. “So you stay here in the Royal mansion?” asked him.

“No,” he shook his head in response. “I always come to the Royal mansion every time there is an event.’

“Oh,” I said and he nodded in response. “Great. It was nice knowing you Alistair," I told him and he smiled at me. I quickly averted my eyes when I felt my heart racing. I was already getting a reaction by just looking at him. Although the connection was not as strong as Fenrir's, it was still there. “So” I cleared my throat. “When you said that I am going to enjoy nature, I haven't heard anything yet,” I complained.

“That is because you are not listening with rapt attention,” Alistair grabbed my hand and place it in between us with my han on his. “Listen carefully to the sound of nature. Close your eyes and open your ears,” he instructed like a teacher, and did as was told. I focused on hearing the sound and it came after a few seconds. I felt heard the rustling of leaves and what follows was the chirping of birds and the sound of the winds as they blew gently on our skin.

“Wow!” I exclaimed and fluttered my eyes open. “This is amazing,” I commented.

“Just like you, “Alistair said and placed his free hand on my cheek. ” you have such beautiful lips that I could beg to have a taste of it"
