Wolf

Wolf was at the cliff again staring down the same direction as the frozen lake that now was beginning to thaw. Spring was coming faster than anyone imagined. What he couldn’t understand is why Kieran was so obsessed with Asema and could he have known a powerful cloakng spell that can hid a large land mass and still be powerful.

As these thoughts roamed over his mind, Wolf had this sensation that something had changed but wasn’t sure why, what was different?

He looked around, the moon light was covered up by clouds giving that faze misty look. Only a few shadow were casted from the trees. His lips went into a thin line, Wolf turned around to head back towards camp.

We are only a quarter a away from figuring out this mess. Wolf thought, he couldn’t believe they still had no idea what type of magic Kieran was using. Brock and Madam Mentor even bargained with king and queen of Equitem Draco on what he used as power.

They stayed silent even after Madam threaten them. Which would have caused Madam to end up in prison but tthe saving grace of Emily was able to convince otherwise.

Wolf kept walking, he was worried that Asema may think he lied and may have failed. Since the warriors had no more power to make him a projection and Madam didn’t couldn’t offer anymore help. They were just drained against Kieran power.

He arrived at the camp and immediately saw Brock and beelined for him.

“Plans? Do we have word on our plans” He asked. Studying Brock as if he would hide something

Brock sighed and motioned him to his tent and sat down in the chair, while Wolf let the fabric come down drowning out the outside noise. He began earnestly waiting on any word to come out.

“So,” Brock started off but paused for a moment unsure. “So, we are actually getting closer to plans on and what tactics will work.” Wolf then straighten up a bit more, he was enlightened to hear something good. “So, we are able to understand the more of what we are dealing such as how dark this power is, with as well have better estimate of time” Wolf was now almost leaning forward holding onto the next few words.

“So” Brock continued but was almost hesitant for a bit “The new plan is wait for two and half months to be fully prepared.” Brock bit his lip waiting on Wolf reply. Especially from his concern would not be a good reply.

Wolf was wide eyes now, in almost enraged with what he heard.

“Excuse me?… two and half months?” Wolf spoke a cold toned voice.

Brock, now uncomfortable around Wolf, his seating shifted in the seat.

“Well, we finally somewhat come to realize what we are finally dealing with” Brock replied hoping that would give some pressure off.

“And what is that?” Wolf sneered with his wolf fangs as they were starting to show.

Brock straightened and stood his guard.

“The Darkness”

Wolf didn’t know if that was a joke or something, or Brock really had no idea what to call the magic.

“What?” Wolf said like he didn’t hear that right.

Brock shifted his chair as if he couldn’t believe the news himself.

“The Darkness is what we are up against.” He said again.

Wolf looked at him as if he were nuts, the darkness was a myth or something because most spoke about it in ancient times. So, he started laughing because this was absurd type of news..

“You are telling me that the man who has my mate is the Darkness? And the reason we can’t get through is because the type of magic he is using if beyond our magical reach?” Wolf said still laughing but it soon faded out as Brock expression had not changed.

“Yes, though the problem is….” Brock was starting to go quiet because he wasn’t quite sure how Wolf would react to this type of news considering the other stuff he had taken as a joke.

“The power of the source is coming from Kieran…we believe that Kieran Crimson A.K.A Equitem Draco is actually the Darkness” Brock said then stood taking a couple steps backwards knowing what would have happened to Wolf.

Wolf was silent then in like any transforming, he wanted to run and get Asema only way her could do that was to transform.

Thing about mythology and understanding Lycans, their transformation isn’t painful rather it is a quick shift and then you are on all fours and covered in fur.

And there, Wolf was looking at Brock with his glowing green Lycan eyes, His fur was white and grey with black speckles everywhere.

Brock wasn’t scared since he was used to this now and bear size Lycan in the tent staring right at him. Wolf just looked at him and turned on Brock while heading out the entrance and started to walk towards the invisible mansion.

As he walked through camp, some men took notice that there was Lycan walking amongst them.

Wolf just waltz through the camp, with a few soldiers stopping and looked at him while other had not notice. Chattering would stop but soon resume. Wolf didn’t care rather he just wanted to get Asema, that was the only thing on his mind.

Soon as he was out of the camp he raced with his paws pounding and crunching the thawing snow on the ground towards the valley. He wasn’t tired rather he was filled with adrenaline that kept him moving. It was pushing him through every stride that he could take and every inch he could get closer to Asema.

When he finally reached the bottom, he slowed down as bit knowing that this was where the mansion was. He stood there meters away from the water scared of knowing what would happening. But he shook himself, he came for a mission. He transformed back into a human shape and took steps forward there was nothing he didn’t see anything just the same old lake and valley.

He thought to himself what could he do to see her and get her. Then something popped into his mind and he transformed back into a Lycan and his breath was almost taken away.

He was standing before a huge building with a beautiful stone patio with mansion holding many windows with ambient light and he could see from one of those windows the light was on.

So as a Lycan he quickly pampered around the lake and jumped onto the patio still undetected, he wondered what was going on. He crept forward again and got closer to the windows through it was on second floor. He had to find out what was happening.

He looked around and saw a tree that was close to the window. He climbed it with his claws almost peeling away the bark and shuttled along the branch peering in the window and his heart dropped.

He saw a baby boy who looked like him with his features when he was young, green golden eyes and smooth face though this baby boy had blonde hair like Asema. What shocked him, was a symbol close to his left eyebrow was faded tattoo on the boy, it spiraled down to the cheek bone. A half Mark that should be full for the lineage of a alpha.

He looked from the boy to Asema and saw that she was tired and weary but still beautiful. He shifted his gaze and saw Kieran coming close to Asema and he wanted to pounce that very second but had to hold himself on the branch.

Kieran took the baby and handed it to the maid then turned to Asema, and from Asema expression he knew she was in trouble.

Wolf closed his eyes and cried silently how could he protect his love if he couldn’t even touch her.

He had silently sent a message to one of soldiers of the pack. 'This mission has gotten more complicated than we expected. Hold off for while longer, we need to regroup and replan some things. I have a son.'
