The next day I met Jason in the park by the pond. It was time for answers that I so desperately needed. We began to walk around the pond.

“How do you know for sure you have the right girl? It could be anyone.” I was still a little in denial that what he was saying was true, but he had a good reply.

“Your heart necklace, every time I see you, you have it on. It was your family’s emblem back home. Plus you saw the demon and you look like Jamie right down to those beautiful eyes.” He brushed the hair out of my face.

I’m pretty sure I was blushing because he smirked. “Uh well...” I stammered. “I’m sure there are other girls that look like me, and besides my mom gave me this necklace before she died, and my dad gave it to her on their first anniversary. How can I be her, if I have memories of my life here as Jay McClayn Anderson?” I start to get worked up and I guess a little emotional and rambling on.

All of the sudden he kissed me, and I felt butterflies. I knew if I wasn’t blushing before I sure as heck was now. “Are you calm?” he whispered in my ear, and for some reason I couldn’t speak, so he continued. “Now it seems someone replaced your old memories with these memories.” He put his hand on my forehead and he closed his eyes. I started to feel woozy. He caught me as I fell back, and stopped what he was doing.

“What happened?” I asked dumbfounded, I felt half there.

“It appears your father, your real father did this before he died. Your father here, I remember him from the castle. I guess he was your father’s back up plan to save you. I wasn’t good enough, but that will change Princess. Now that I have found you, I will protect you with my life. I promise I will help you find your memories in your head.” He helped me stand back up.

“What do you mean find them?” I asked confused.

“They are somewhere locked in your head and by what I found out by getting in your head just now, they are triggered by familiarity, so let’s start by this.” He pulled me in close and kissed me with such passion, I was starting to melt. I could feel this wasn’t the first time we have done this. It was great, like a ball of fiery passion. I felt like I never wanted to leave him. Then a flash came again, I’m guessing he caught me.

I saw Jason and I cuddling under a tree by a pond watching the sunset. “Promise me you will never leave me again.” I said softly.

“You know I can’t do that. I have a duty to your father, protecting the other world from a-wall demons so they don’t spill into ours. He wants me to go on a special mission tomorrow.” He said with sadness in his voice before I interrupted

“Runaway with me!” I blurted out, “I love you with all my heart, but you know we can never be together, not here, unless in secret. I want it to be the two of us, together.”

He kissed me with passion and then replied. “You know I can’t refuse your father’s wishes, and he would stop at nothing to find us. If I work hard enough, maybe someday I will be fit enough in his eyes to marry you.”

I sighed disappointed. “Then at least stay with me here for a little bit longer, so we can watch the stars come out. It shouldn’t be too much longer.” He sighed because he knew he couldn’t say no to me.

“A few more minutes and then we must go our separate ways, until tomorrow night my dear.”

I woke up in Jason’s arms, he was carrying me home. “Jason?” I questioned.

“I know what you saw Jay. I wish I could have triggered a better memory than that one.” He said sadly.

“It’s fine and uh… I can walk now hon.” I said trying to change the subject. “It’s getting late, and I need to get home. Tomorrow?” He put me down.

“Of course.” He replied. I think he was sad, and wished I knew my true feelings I had for him when I had my memories. We split up and began to walk our separate ways. We were like a Romeo and Juliet in our past. But the question that remained, was something going to stop us in the future?
