Days began to go by, I missed Jason so much. I missed him holding me each night before I went to bed. Alex and I are getting closer. I like him but I don’t know if I love him. There is passion between us building each day and it scares me. I wish for Jason to be Alex right now. I think I’m on the line of insanity about to cross over. It’s driving me crazy seeing him every day but he won’t have anything to do with me. It’s slowly tearing me apart. I know what I have to do. I need to make him jealous or something. I should start dating Alex and see how he feels about that.
“Jay? Jay?” Alex was trying to get my attention. “Why do you keep staring off into thought? You don’t need him, he is no good.” We were at lunch.
“I’m sorry, but who said I was think about him?”
Alex sighed. “Because I can read you like a book.” He got up from the table and held out his hand to me.
I took it and got up. “I know, and that scares me sometimes.” I noticed Jason was watching out of the corner of my eye.
“L-let’s go.” I dragged Alex out of the lunch room with me.
“Slow down. There is no rush.” He stopped me when were outside the cafeteria. “What is wrong with you? Well other than Jason?”
I lightly laughed. “Thought you could read me like a book?”
He sighed. “Jay, I’m being serious.”
I laughed some more. “Nothing is wrong.” I knew I crossed the line of insanity now. I pulled him in by his shirt and kissed him passionately.
“Does that mean we are?” He asked a little shocked
“Yes, we are dating.” Then I grabbed his hand and began dragging him the rest of the way to class. I knew Jason saw that through the glass windows of the cafeteria.
Weeks passed by, Alex and I continued dating. I was still wishing Alex was Jason. I still secretly longed for him. Christmas had passed and it was now the beginning of the next semester. I knew Jason was jealous, but I think he was mad more than jealous, but I couldn’t tell who at, me or the vampire I was dating. Vampires and werewolves still don’t entirely get along, even if they do occasionally work together.
When school got out for the weekend, Alex and I walked to my house and went upstairs to my room to chill. I turned on my computer and we started to watch some Anime like we usually did. We decided to continue Vampire Knight, I’ve seen it all the way through many times, but I love it. If you haven’t watched it, you should it’s really good. After we finished the episode where Yuki is bitten by Zero the first time, Alex turned me to face him before I could get to the next episode.
“What would you do if I bit you?” I was thrown off guard by that question. Was he considering biting me?
“W-why do you ask? You aren’t planning on it are you?” I was a little scared by his question.
“Just curious, I have thought about it since I met you.” He said as he moved closer to my face. “Do you know how hard it is containing myself from your sweet smelling blood?” he whispered in my ear. It sent shivers down my spine.
“N-no, I wouldn’t know. I’m a witch not a vampire.” For some reason I was shaking and I couldn’t stop.
“Why are you so afraid of me? It’s written on your face and is apparent in your chills.” He backed away from my ear and clicked on the computer for the next episode to play.
I stopped it from playing. “No, don’t start that crap with me. I think you try your very hardest to make me fear you.” I got up off my bed. “I don’t know how I would react to you biting me because I don’t know how it will affect me!” I snapped at him. He quickly got up and got behind me and breathed on my neck. “Stop screwing around with me!” I turned around to see him and his eyes were blood red. I quickly slapped his face. “Control yourself! Now!” He quickly pulled me into a kiss. I was in shock at first that he just kissed me, but my eyes slowly began to close and began to kiss him back. I felt him pick me up and put me back on the bed. I pulled away and noticed his eyes were brown again, “Why do you say what you say?” I asked softly.
“Because it makes you tick.” He said with a devilish smirk and began kissing me again. My mind was flooded with mixed feelings and thoughts. My mind had so much going on, I couldn’t understand a bit of what was going on in my head. Alex stopped kissing my lips and started to kiss down to my neck. I quickly thought of Jason.
“Don’t go biting me now.” I muttered softly to him.
“But you smell so good.” I could tell he meant that.
“Alex?” I said snapping out of all the thoughts in my head. “I’m serious, you better not!” But it was too late, I felt his fangs in my neck. I couldn’t move, or make a sound. When he was done my whole body was in so much pain. It felt like every part of my body had nails being hammered into and my veins were on fire. I began to cry out in pain. I heard someone run up the stairs and into the room.
“I-I didn’t mean to Harrison!!” Alex cried “She just smelled so good.” I heard a whack so I think Harrison hit him.
“Getting all worked up isn’t going to solve anything!” I could hear the fury in his voice. “Go home, You can check on her tomorrow!” I couldn’t move or say anything fluently, all I could feel was pain.
