Chapter 46 

Her mind was completely clear now. She secretly lowered her head to look at her pajamar. They were all fine 

She didn’t feel anything weird either. 

Julian shook his head helplessly and got out of bed. 

He stood on the floor and looked back at Alexandra like a kid that had been bullied. 

He said calmly, “Last night, you kept complaining that your stomach hurt and refused to let go of me. That’s what happened” 

Alexandra was confused. 

Julian ignored her and let her imagine the scene. 

Then, he took his clothes to the washroom. 

When he was done washing up and dressed, he came out of the washroom. 

Alexandra had already gotten dressed and gotten out of bed. 

Her cheeks were flushed as she stood by the bed and dug into their fingernails. 

Seeing him come out, Alexandra deliberately ignored his gaze and ran past him into the washroom. 

Then she decided to stay in there. 

Julian took out a blue striped tie from the tie layer of the wardrobe. As he put on his tie, he recalled the scene last night. 

When he realized that he was actually smiling, he looked at himself in the mirror and was stunned for a moment. 

Then, as if mocking himself, he shook his head. 

Alexandra dawdled in the bathroom for a long time. When she thought of how she and Julian had slept on the same bed last night, she felt 

ashamed. 

In the end, she could only complain about the period that troubled all the women. 

She leaned against the bathroom door and listened a few times. After confirming that Julian was not in the room, she came out secretly. 

It was simply too embarrassing! 

Alexandra dawdled in the bedroom, not daring to go downstairs. 

Ruth came up and knocked on the door. “Mrs. Alexandra, go down and eat! Mr. Ranford has already gone to the office. He asked me to come up and call you for dinner.” 

“Oh! Thank you, Ms. Rivera!” 

When she heard that Julian had left, Alexandra quickly came out of the room. 

From today onwards, Alexandra officially started her piano course. 

However, Alexandra felt that it was a pity. Last night, she wanted to tell Julian personally that she had joined the Piano Department.

In the afternoon was rehearsal time. 

It was only the beginning of September, and the Freshmen Night would be held next Thursday night. 

There were several programs in the Piano Department that needed to be prepared. 

Alexandra did not know how to play the piano, so she followed Emery around. 

Now, the two of them were almost inseparable good friends. 

When it was time for the last literature class in the afternoon, Alexandra hunched over her desk in a daze. 

She still had to face Julian when she went back at night. She didn’t know what to do. 

Just as she was feeling depressed, her phone rang. 

A text came in: I’m on a business trip. I’ll be back Friday night. Stay in school and don’t cause trouble.. 

The sender was Julian. 

Alexandra suddenly stood up from her desk. She instantly felt that the old white–haired professor’s course was too good! 

She replied, “Okay, Mr. Ranford.” 

Julian was on a business trip, so he wouldn’t be able to see her for the next few days.. 

When Alexandra returned home from school in the afternoon, she realized that Josephine was alone. 

After asking Ruth, she found out that Caroline’s family had a close relative who had a son. She had gone back to her family to attend a banquet. 

Since Philip was still in the hospital, Josephine also instructed her to apologize to her family. After all, her husband, Philip, should have gone 

with her. 

Julian and Caroline left the Ranford family on the same day. 

Hence, the huge villa suddenly seemed empty. 

During dinner, Alexandra and Josephine were the only ones present. They had never felt so awkward before. 

Alexandra could only eat slowly in front of Josephine, afraid that she had done something wrong and that Josephine would pick on her. 

She now knew that it was difficult to be the daughter–in–law of a wealthy family. She kept rejoicing in her heart. Fortunately, she and Julian’s marriage were only fake. Otherwise, she would not be able to stand being restrained everywhere. 

In the blink of an eye, it was Thursday night. Alexandra thought that Julian would be back tomorrow night, so she was so worried that she 

couldn’t sleep 

She tossed and turned on the bed until she was hungry. 

Alexandra would never let her stomach suffer. She got up and went downstairs with her phone, preparing to go to the kitchen to find something 

to eat 

When she went downstairs to the kitchen, she realized that although there were two refrigerators in the kitchen, the ingredients in the refrigerator were raw. There was nothing edible. 

Alexandra rummaged through the drawers in the kitchen but could not find anything ready to eat.

Chapter 45 

There were many rules in the Ranford family. One was that there was no junk food at home, and the second was that there were no leftovers at 

home. 

Therefore, things like instant noodles and fries could never be found at home. 

After mealtime, there was nothing edible in the kitchen. 

The snacks she usually ate were freshly baked by the chef. 

Alexandra rubbed her stomach and looked out the window it was already midnight. She couldn’t possibly go out to the convenience store to buy a bag of potato chips.
