Chapter 45 

He turned around and saw that Alexandra, who had been sleeping soundly, was now tossing and turning. 

She kicked the thin blanket off her body and held her stomach with both hands. Her body was curled into a ball, and she could still hear the whimpers in her throat. 

“Alexandra…” 

Julian casually threw the towel aside and quickly walked to the bed. He knelt by the bed with one leg and bent down to check on her condition. 

Alexandra felt that she was still in a dream. Her lower abdomen was in so much pain that it felt like it was about to explode. It was as if a pair of scissors was tearing at her lower abdomen. The pain was unbearable. 

Julian realized that something was wrong with her and patted her shoulder gently. “Alexandra, wake up…” 

Alexandra struggled to wake up. When she regained consciousness, she knew that she must be on her period. 

Every time she had her period, her lower abdomen would ache violently. 

However, she did not know why it hurt so much this time. 

Julian helped her up. Alexandra was in so much pain that she couldn’t care less. She pushed him away and got out of bed in a daze. She took out a bag of sanitary pads from the closet and went to the bathroom. 

Julian roughly knew what was going on with her. He suddenly remembered that he had heard someone say that girls should drink more hot water when they had their period. 

So Julian went downstairs. 

There was no one downstairs. It was midnight. 

Julian walked into the kitchen and searched for a long time before he found the kettle.. 

He poured some water into it. Then he placed it on the stove. When the water boiled, he pour it in a bowl and took it upstairs. 

When he returned to the bedroom, Alexandra was already lying on the bed. 

However, she still looked terrible. She was still holding her lower abdomen and groaning. 

Julian turned on the chandelier in the bedroom and the room lit up. Only then did he see that Alexandra’s head was covered in a cold sweat. 

He panicked and pulled Alexandra out of bed. “Come, drink some hot water.” 

He could hug Alexandra with one arm. At this moment, Alexandra’s face was pale as she leaned weakly on his shoulder and trembled. 

Julian scooped a spoonful of hot water, blew on it, and placed it beside Alexandra’s mouth. 

Alexandra took a small sip. It was still hot. She frowned and shook her head vigorously. 

Julian could only put the spoon back and give up. 

“Do you want to go to the hospital?” He did not know how a girl would deal with her period and whether she needed to go to the hospital. His heart was also unsettled by Alexandra’s painful expression. He picked up a towel and wiped the sweat off her forehead. 

Alexandra vaguely heard someone talking to her, but she was in so much pain that she could not think at all. 

She just wanted to close her eyes and fall asleep. She didn’t want it to hurt so much. 

She shook her head vigorously and suddenly reached out to hug Julian’s neck.

Her entire body was pressed against Julian’s 

Julian’s body stiffened. 

His breathing also became ragged for a moment. 

She lowered her head and saw Alexandra’s forehead resting on her shoulder. Her forehead was still wrinkled and tears were rolling down from the comers of her eyes. 

“It hurts… my stomach hurts…” 

Alexandra closed her eyes and groaned in pain. 

Julian admitted that it was much easier to do business than to take care of women. 

At this moment, he was helpless in the face of Alexandra, who was suffering from menstrual cramps and had lost her mind. 

He suddenly remembered that when he was young, he caught a cold from eating something bad. It was also a stomachache that was so painful that he could not sleep. 

Hence, Josephine rubbed his palms to warm them up and rubbed his stomach. It didn’t seem to take long for him to recover. 

Julian clumsily stretched out his right hand and pressed his palm against Alexandra’s abdomen through her pajamas. He used a little force. “Are you feeling better now?” 

Alexandra could not hear him at all. She hugged his neck tightly as if he was her savior.

Julian had no choice but to lie on the bed and let her hug him. 

He couldn’t just leave her like that in pain. 

Then, he placed his burning palm on her abdomen and gently massaged it for her. 

Julian looked at the outline of Alexandra under the dim yellow light of the bedside lamp and wondered how she endured such pain when she was alone in the past. 

After a while, Alexandra regained her composure. 

The sound of even breathing could be heard. 

After doing so much for her, he felt sleepy. 

Initially, he wanted to coax her and then sleep on the sofa. However, he was so sleepy that his eyelids drooped. In a daze, he fell asleep. 

For the second half of the night, Alexandra slept soundly. 

Chapter 45 

She even had a beautiful dream 

In her dream, she returned to three years ago when she was blind but carefree in the couryside, 

The next morning, when she just regained consciousness, the first thing she felt was how bot it was. 

The second feeling was that her body was so heavy. 

Her eyelids twitched twice. When she finally opened them, she realized that something was wrong. 

It was black and bronze. 

She seemed to be holding something in her arms. It was a little hard and warm. 

Alexandra opened her eyes and looked up until she saw the man’s Adam’s apple and hard jawline. 

Alexandra was dumbfounded. 

She looked up and realized that she and Julian were covered by the same blanket. 

She was in his arms, and she had actually slept beside him for the entire night. 

Just as she was staring at Julian’s handsome sleeping face with her big eyes, Julian opened his eyes. 

After blurring for a moment, he saw the girl’s terrified expression clearly. 

Almost immediately, Alexandra jumped up from the bed. 

She pulled the thin blanket away and wrapped it around herself as if she was naked. 

“You, you, you…” 

Her face flushed red, and she stuttered for a long time, not knowing what to say. 

Julian was much calmer than her. 

As soon as he opened his eyes, he realized that he had fallen asleep on the bed last night. He was shocked for a moment, but he quickly calmed himself down.

He sat up in bed. 

“You, you… what are you doing in my bed?” 

He turned his head and looked at Alexandra, who was full of energy as if she had been bullied. He felt his temples suddenly throbbing. 

Julian slowly buttoned up one of the buttons of his pajamas that she had messed up. He looked at her from the corner of his eyes. “This is my 

bed.” 

Alexandra was confused.
