Chapter Seven

LUZ’S POV

It’s been one week since Mark mated with me before rejecting me and to be honest I haven’t been feeling good lately. I told Alex about it and he told me to go and buy a pregnancy test and let him know what it said as soon as I got the result. I got up and went to the store to buy a pregnancy test.

After paying for the pregnancy test I went back to the pack house and went straight to my room and read the instructions. Once I had read the instructions and was sure of what I needed to do, I did as it said and then had to wait for three minutes before I got a result. After the three minutes were over I went into my bathroom and looked at the test that read pregnant, I backed up against the wall and slid down placing my head against my knees and started to cry.

After I got myself back together I texted Alex sending a picture of the test that said pregnant on the digital screen, I wanted for him to come and get me out of here even more because I didn’t want my baby to be rejected by his own father as well. Alex told me that he was already on his way to come and get me to try not to worry since it wasn’t good for the baby. I started to feel much better just by reading his text and I was starting to feel safe as well.

I was told that lunch was ready and to head down to the dining room, I started to sit next to Daisy while Drake sat next to Mark ever since what he did to me. I had just walked out of my room and I was about to take the first step down the stairs when I felt someone push me and I started to roll down the stairs. The only thing I thought was to protect my unborn baby so I placed my arms around my stomach and I continued to roll down the three flights of stairs, by the time that I stopped at the bottom of the staircase I was still holding my stomach and I could smell my own blood.

I could hear people calling my name and telling me to open my eyes but I felt too tired and the only thing I could do was continue to hold my stomach, after awhile I felt being picked up and then rushed out the pack house I guess they were taking me to the pack hospital. After a while I felt myself being laid in a soft bed and people shouting all around me, I then felt something poke my arm and then someone place something under my head. I started to drift into a sleeping state and I allowed it. I needed to rest for some reason or another, I just hoped I would wake up and be able to open my eyes and see Alex, Drake, Daisy, Jaqueline, Blake and be able to hear my baby’s heartbeat someday.

As I started to wake up I no longer heard people shouting but I was now hearing machines peeping, I tried to open my eyes but I couldn’t no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t open them. I then heard the door open and then close and I heard someone coming near me. I was trying to figure out who it was and that’s when I heard Suzy’s voice near my ear.

“I hope you die soon” she said

Once she left I started to panic which made the machines go crazy, I then heard people running into my room and that’s when I heard Alex telling someone to save us. That made me panic even more, they know that I am pregnant which means that Mark knew I was pregnant with his pup. Before I could do anything else I started to feel sleepy once more and I let the darkness take over me, I just hope that when I wake up I am able to open my eyes.

I woke up and felt my chest heavy, I opened my eyes to see Alex next to me. As he saw me he smiled and I tried to smile but I couldn’t since I had a tube in my mouth, I knew that he wanted to ask me something so I nodded my head which let him know that I wanted for him to tell me what he had in mind.

“Luz do you remember what happened” he asked

I just nodded yes

“Do you know who did this to you” he asked

Again I nodded yes

“Well everybody knows that your pregnant Demitri found your pregnancy test in your jacket pocket” he said

I just kept looking at him

“The other thing is that when you fell down the stairs you lost a lot of blood and your body is really weak, in other words your dieing Luz and I don’t want you to die. Let me turn you into a vampire it will not hurt your baby, it will only give your baby the ability to be able to be a vampire or a werewolf whenever he/she wants to” he said

I nodded my head yes and without thinking about it twice Alex sunk his fangs into my neck and after a few seconds he fed me some of his blood, once I had drunk what amount of blood he had given me he said that I would fall into a death like state and that my heart would slow down to the point of not being able to be heard even by a werewolf doctor. I nodded that I understood and slowly but surely the machines started to go crazy and before I knew it I was hearing people screaming at Alex to get out, after a few more minutes I felt the sheet being placed over my face after all the machines that were disconnected from my body as well as all the needles that were in my arm, I heard Alex come in and pick me up. He walked out of the room with me in his arms before stopping and saying that I had told him I wanted to be buried where I was born and that he was going to keep his promise of taking me back to his lands.

I could hear dad and my brother crying as well as Daisy, Drake, Jaqueline and Blake after awhile of walking I felt being placed on the back seat of a car and we left but I could feel I had my head on someone’s lap, slowly the sheet was removed from my face and I opened my eyes only to see Alex looking down, I smiled up at Alex as he smiled down at me.
