Out of the blue, she felt her phone vibrated, they were messages from Cassandra and Emily. Suzy opened the texts one by one and read.

EMILY: ‘Suzy! Did you sleep with Tyler? Tell me he’s good in bed! Ah!’ insisted the teasing emoji.

She rolled her eyes blushing in thought, ‘As if I could’ and responded, ‘Calm down, E-Cupid, I haven’t done anything with Tyler. And I have no clue if he’s good, okay’ and sent it.

CASSANDRA: ‘Hi Suzy, how’s it going? Have you finished the article?’

‘I’m fine, Cassie. No, I haven’t but I sent Ms Harmsworth a copy of what I got. I’m worried, she won’t like it. I’m just praying that she will,’ she typed and sent it.

Her phone buzzed after a ten seconds, two messages came in.

EMILY: ‘Oh my goodness! Suzy, you’re wasting time. Wear your sexiest outfit and seduce the guy, already. Remember, you’re on Christmas vacation not job hunting. Have fun for once in your boring life. Cassandra and I want you to find real love. We want you to be happy. Take a leap of faith and fall in love with Tyler.’

She smiled at what Emily wrote and typed, ’I’m already working undercover as a waitress for the guy to get the story from Ms Harmsworth’s friends, Skylar and Matt. They are a sweet couple, Emily. Unfortunately, Tyler is a whole different story. I don’t want to get involved with. I understand you and Cassandra but you have to respect my values for my life. That means ‘staying away from guys’ and until my heart is mended’ and she pressed send.

CASSANDRA: ‘Glad to hear that. Suzy, Ms Harmsworth will love it. Emily and I have known you for a longtime, we’ve seen your impressive work. I believed the copy you've sent her; she will run it in the magazine's Christmas Edition sooner than you think. Beside, Emily is texting me, saying, you haven’t slept with Tyler. What’s holding you back? Ethan dumped you on the spot calling off the engagement via Twitter message. How humiliating is that, Suzy? Emily and I gave him a warning to remember and you need to move on. I feel it in my bones that Tyler is the one for you, Suzy.’

‘It’s nice that you’re optimistic, Cassie, thanks. I just met the guy for pit sake. We all know Ethan was a donkey, Cassandra. I admired what you girls did back then for me but.... Tyler, I’m not so sure. I’m scared to fall in love with him and get another broken heart,’ she messaged back.

EMILY: ‘You’re already working for the guy? What better advantage can you ask for Suzy? This is fate I tell you. You’re meant for Tyler and I believe you can sense it too. Forget about Ms Harmsworth’s friends look for your own happiness. I think Tyler can give so much more than what you intended for yourself, Suzy.’
