After polishing off the dessert, Aurelia and her crew had had enough of Megan's antics and decided to leave.

But Megan dogged as ever, followed closely behind, convinced that as long as Aurelia was around, Leopold would eventually show his face.

Back on the movie set, an assistant, panting with the effort, hurried over to Leah with an armload of snacks, “Leah, here's everything Avery asked me to prepare for you, your favorites, and even your most-loved strawberry milkshake.”

Leah cast a glance at Avery, who was in the middle of a scene and felt a twinge of regret for her earlier outburst.

Love was not something one could force. If Avery didn’t fancy her. She couldn't make him like her. She just wasn't his type.

With a sigh, she plopped down into a chair, took the milkshake in hand, and began to get rid of her worries.

Her lashes fluttered, "Hyvin and I are just friends. You misunderstand me."

Avery gently patted her head, "You want to date?"

She hung her head low, silent. The truth was, she didn't want to date just anyone. Her heart was set on him.

Avery sighed, "I can't control you. Alright, if there's someone you like, just tell me. I'll check him out, and if he's alright, you have my blessing to date.”

Leah's eyes gleamed mischievously, and she said, “I just want to know what it feels like to be in love. Maybe you could help me out?"

"How so?" Avery raised an eyebrow.

With a coy smile, Leah suggested, "Pretend to be my new boyfriend. Let's have a mock romance, and what do you say?"

Avery paused, a tad startled, then nodded after a moment of silence, "Okay, I'm in."

Leah's smile revealed a row of pearly whites.

That evening, after a wrap-up with no late-night scenes, Avery took Leah to the hotel.

Aurelia had already reserved a private dining room downstairs.

Relieved to see them walk in, chatting and laughing, Aurelia felt reassured that they had made up. Young love, with its frequent squabbles and spats, was nothing out of the ordinary.

"Aurelia, I spotted Megan loitering outside the dining room. She's not still tailing us, is she?" Avery inquired.

With a scoff, Aurelia replied, "She's been on our heels half the day. She can't find Leopold and thinks shadowing us will somehow lead her to him. I'm starting to pity her. She's turning into a classic scorned socialite.”

"Shouldn't we feel sorry for Leopold?” Avery quipped with a wicked grin, “He's probably kicking himself so hard he's hiding out in his room, too ashamed to show his face.”

"Maybe Leopold really did go back to Elysium.” Arnold shrugged and was thankful that Lisa wasn't so clingy. He hated women like that, and it was about as disgusting as gum stuck in the hair.

Leah whispered, "Hasn't she developed some kind of sleepwalking condition? Seems like her mind's gone haywire. Wouldn't surprise me if she snaps one day. You better keep your distance, Aurelia.” Skyler chimed in lazily, "She's got what you call a delusional disorder. The usual symptoms were delusions and hallucinations. The patients are arrogant, oversensitive, always thinking someone's out to get them, reading too much into everything.”

Aurelia gave him a thumbs-up, "Spot on, Dr. Psychology. Megan's case fits. She's convinced I'm out to hex her.

Honestly, she should seek treatment before she does something drastic.”
