Skyler scratched his head in confusion and said, "If I had a chip inside me, the metal detector would have gone off for sure. But it didn't beep when I went through.”

Leopold said in a deep voice, "Skyler isn't exactly traveling incognito. Tracking him down wouldn't be too hard."

Tanya couldn't lose track of Skyler's whereabouts. Hanson wouldn't keep Skyler's secrets from Tanya; after all, she is his biological mother.

After a moment of contemplation, Aurelia whispered, "If Geoffrey and Skyler are spitting images of each other, then he must be using disguises when he steps out.”

Skyler stuck out his tongue playfully, replying, "Geoffrey is like a master of disguise, with a whole bunch of those lifelike masks."

Aurelia gasped, "I knew it. That's how he's been able to hide in plain sight for so many years." Geoffrey's intelligence was nothing short of astonishing, a match for Leopold's own.

Leopold wrapped an arm around Skyler's shoulder "If Geoffrey gets in touch with you again, you gotta let us know right away.”

Skyler gave him a puzzled look, "You guys wanna catch him?"

Aurelia thought about it before she answered in a barely audible voice, “Not catch him. Someone stole his venomous critter and bit me. I need to get the antidote from him, or else I'll die.”

Skyler shuddered, “Angel, you got bitten by a poisonous critter?"

"Yeah; Aurelia nodded solemnly.

Skyler clenched his fists in anger, “Who would do something so evil, steal Geoffrey's critter? Don't worry, once I see Geoffrey, I'll make sure he gives you the antidote. You can't die. I don't want you to die."

Death was what Skyler feared the most. Because whether it was people or little animals, once they're gone, they're gone forever.

Aurelia soothed him by patting his head like he was a child, "Skyler, how did you use to contact Geoffrey?"

"It was always him contacting me. He'd send emails or texts. But whenever I replied, he never messaged back,"

Aurelia glanced at the phone number on the mobile. It was sent from a burner phone. Geoffrey really knew how to cover his tracks. Was he planning to hide in the shadows for a lifetime, never stepping into the light?

"It's late. You should get some sleep. Tomorrow I'll wake you up early so we can watch the sunrise together.”

"Okay" Skyler nodded

Exiting his tent, Aurelia saw Megan standing guard at the entrance of her tent, like a watchdog keeping an eye on their every move.

Actually, it was the bodyguards who wouldn't let her come over, so she could only stand there, staring.

Aurelia entered her tent with William following behind.

When Leopold came out, Megan hurried over, "Honey, what were you guys talking about in Skyler's tent?"

Leopold snorted, "How did you become my wife? Doesn't saying that make you feel the slightest bit guilty?”

Megan felt as if she had been slapped across the face, her cheeks burning with humiliation. “Leopold, I really want to have a good life with you."

"When the AK Group is wiped off the map, then you might have the right to wish for that. Until then, stop building castles in the sky.” With that, Leopold went into the tent, leaving the bodyguards at the entrance to ensure no one disturbed him.

Megan's sense of dejection washed over her like relentless waves.

In another tent, Melissa pulled back the flap and pressed her ear against the entrance, eavesdropping intently.
