"Maybe it's just stress from the pregnancy. You should see a doctor,’ Leopold suggested coolly. Megan shook her head vigorously like a bobblehead doll. "No, it's not that. It's a curse. I'm sure of it. I've never felt like this before."

Leopold gave her a long and penetrating look. “Who would curse you?"

Unless the AK Group thought she was disposable, there was no way they'd target her.

Megan dropped her gaze, her eyelashes casting shadows over her flickering eyes. “A new player from the organization has parachuted in. Last week, I got a secret email from him. He demanded the last vial of the antibiotic. I didn't comply. He must be angry, cursing me to pressure me into handing it over. This antibiotic is incredibly complex to create and is the only vial left in the lab. If I give it to him, he'll destroy it. And then Aurelia's done for."

“Okay.” Megan's heart bloomed with joy that she could finally move into his mansion.

From a distance, Aurelia witnessed the entire scene in a black sedan.
