After the meeting, Kevin trailed after Leopold into his office, “Mr. Leopold, the handbag you ordered will be air freighted from Paris the day after tomorrow.”

“Toss it!” Leopold squeezed out these words through gritted teeth, an ominous chill emanating from him that seemed to turn the office frosty.

Kevin sighed heavily. He had to do something. Being constantly in the crosshairs of Leopold's stormy moods felt like being on the verge of being struck by lightning at any moment.

“Ms. Aurelia’s eyes are red and swollen. Did she cry yesterday?”

For two consecutive days, Leopold didn't visit the apartment. Aurelia knew he would never come again.

It was fine, she enjoyed her freedom. He didn't need to run back and forth and could devote his time to his new girlfriend.
