Chapter thirty-four: The End

Time skip 10 years later

"Sofie you're going to be late” I yell up the stairs waiting for my dear daughter to hurry up and get to school. I watch as all the other kids come skipping down the steps and towards the front door to catch the bus to school but my daughter is nowhere in sight.

“That's it" I call before storming up the stairs to her bedroom door where I notice Hazyn exiting “Not today” he mumbles before pulling me away.

"What now?” I question worried. The last few weeks Sofia has been having a rough time and keeps staying home and no one will tell me why.

“She will open up with you tonight just get your work done” Hazyn smiles as the door opens as Ben walks in with his work piled up in his arms.

Once Hazyn has left the room I turn to Ben and smile

"You okay today?” I question making him nod sadly. Three months ago Ashley passed away unexpectedly in the middle of the night and we have no idea as to what caused it; Ben has been trying to be strong for the twins but he’s been struggling a lot lately.

“Yeah, heard Sofia in her room still no better?” He questions making me sigh and fall back into my office chair.

“I don't know what's going on to be honest she won't talk to me; we had the best relationship growing up and then all of a sudden she won't talk to me and will only speak to Hazyn and it upsets me so much” I complain making Ben come over and hug me.

“It'll get better; we can't keep going through all of this eventually it will have to change for the better” he smiles making me nod

“True” 1 respond before starting my work.

After work I head towards sofias room and knock lightly

“It's mum” I call; I wait for a response and try minute I have the okay i head inside the room. "What's wrong?” I question seeing her down face.

“There's a boy at school” she sighs collapsing onto her bed

"Is this boy the reason you've been acting strange lately?” I question making her nod

“I like him but he is always mean to me and says bad stuff about our family; dads been helping me through it because I've been to scared to admit to you this is happening after you always teaching me to be strong” she admits making me hug her

“Hunny no matter how strong you are things will always get in the way you are still strong even if you have to have some down times. You remember my story from my past I was weak and now look at me; we have the highest pack numbers out of the country and one of the elite packs it didn't come easy and I had days I wouldn't get up to work and just stay in bed crying thinking I was failing as alpha. You need to remember that no matter what happens in life you need to get back on your feet after your knocked over and depending on the situation act accordingly” I finish before leaving the room so she can think things over.

The past thirteen years have been tough but I doubt I would change them for the world because it made me realise a lot and now I feel far more confident.

I don't know what it'll happen in the future, who will die next or if we will get attacked and all die but it will happen eventually and I will just live in the now and take it day by day because there is no certainty in life.
