Anne returned to her residential building and went up to the sixth floor.

The apartment was empty and though the toys were still scattered on the ground, no one was occupying the apartment any longer.

Anne sobbed as she tidied up the toys, Bianca's words cutting into her heart as she thought back to them.

“Are you still renting this place?”

Hearing a voice behind her, she wiped her tears away and turned to find the owner of the apartment standing behind her.

"I called you multiple times, but you didn't pick up. You weren't in your apartment either. Are you still renting this place?”

Anne remembered that her phone had fallen into the ocean along with the plane and explained apologetically, “I'm sorry that I didn't explain this to you in time. I won't be renting this place any longer. Am I past the due date for rent?”

“Three days past the due date, but it's fine.”

“Thank you. I will just pack up.”

Anne took all the children’s belongings to her apartment and left the nanny’s belongings

behind.

There was not much left as she had always kept the triplets’ lifestyle simple, as she was too poor and had to watch where she spent.

She did not even dare to buy any piece of clothing that was perfectly fitting, as the children grew up fast and bigger clothes would last them longer.

Since the triplets had started living in the Royal Mansion, they would no longer have to worry about clothes when Anthony had a boundless fortune.

Even though the children might not need them anymore, Anne could not bring herself to throw everything away and put them away tidily.

By the time she was done with organizing everything, she was exhausted. She had merely been discharged the night before and had only spent a night in her own apartment, before Nigel called her to arrange the meeting to discuss matters concerning her children

She had been waiting with anticipation, but the results came as a great shock. She had thought that things would improve when Anthony was less angry with her, but nothing had.

Anne laid on bed in despair and slowly drifted off to sleep, before waking up to her phone ringing. It was Sarah calling, so she answered and mumbled, “Mom...”

“Why do you sound like that? Were you sleeping?”

“Yeah. You woke me up.”

Sarah sighed. “I'm worried about you? Are you at your apartment?”

"Yeah."

"Why are you even there? Come live with me. I will go pick you up right now.”

"No."

"Why not? Your dad is right next to me. We will go pick you up together. He's worried about you as well!” Sarah said.

"Anne, live with your mom so you can both take care of one another. You've just recovered and you need rest,” Nigel said.
