Chapter 1375

“Mr Marwood, it wasn't your fault Mia drugged you,” Hayden said

Anthony remained silent, unable to say a word through the piercing pain in his chest, and could simply breathe heavily to ease the pain.

Anthony fell forward and landed on his knees, barely supporting himself with a trembling arm on the coffee table next to him.

“Mr Marwood!"

Hayden went to help him up, but Anthony shoved him aside and shouted hoarsely, “Don’t touch me!”

“Mr Marwood, you need a doctor I will call Kathryn.”

“No one can help me or save me I want Anne to be here. Find her!” Anthony panted in misery without a trace of his usual composure as though he had run out of hope in life.

Hayden wanted to find Anne as well and longed for her to return safely as well, but if even Anthony failed to find her, Hayden was powerless in it.

"How dare she disappear? I should have tied her up by my side so that she couldn't get anywhere Anne... Anthony collapsed.

At the same time, the triplets ran in and were terrified when they saw their father spitting blood and collapsing onto the ground.

“Mr Marwood!” Hayden shouted.

Anne

Meanwhile, in Athetin, the man Corentin caught was barely alive, but Corentin was still confident that he would manage to obtain information from the man.

He had given strict orders to his subordinates to keep him alive; if he died, all the guards would have to

die as well.

Corentin walked out of the cell and went into his car, leaving one hand hanging out the window. He tapped his finger against the car door thoughtfully without driving away.

“Give him an opportunity to escape,” he said.

His men immediately knew what he meant.

Lilian ran before as well but did not lead Corentin to anything useful. He could only hope that his current prisoner would do better.

Corentin returned to his mansion, and Ashlynn was nowhere to be found. “Where is she?”

The butler instinctively knew who he was referring to and said, “She went out and said that she’s not coming home for dinner

"She sure is busy” Corentin narrowed his eyes darkly.

When Corentin called Ashlynn, she was with the Hiltons and chatting with Beth and Marshall.

She could not comprehend the kindness this family had directed at her at first but soon realized they

bore no other intention, and the warmth of having a family drew her toward them.

When she received the call, Ashlynn tensed and headed outside.

Beth's expression darkened. “That must be from Corentin.”

“Little Crescent is terrified of that man,” Marshall said.

“But she said that she loves Corentin. I think there's more to the story.” Beth was concerned because it was related to her daughter. She had just found her daughter and could not bear to share her with Corentin.

Ashlynn was merely twenty-five years old and could have depended on her mother.

Meanwhile, Ashlynn answered the call and lied, “I'm eating outside. I will go back once I'm done.” “Are you alone?”

"Yeah, are you home?” she said.

“No. I'm in the office.”
