Chapter 1087

Anne could sense her heart racing, threatening to leap out of her chest.

Intimacy had only ever been a way for Anthony to satisfy his need to possess her, but for Anne, it started to mean something else. She panicked at the change of heart and would only feel safe if she could remain in a distance from Anthony, but Anthony would never allow that.

As he moved closer to her, Anne felt as though she was about to be devoured whole.

Startled, Anne struggled to hold onto her last strand of sense and struggled out of Anthony's embrace. “Stop it!"

She pressed her body up against the corner and held herself in fear as though that was the only way she could defend her pride

The sound of running water and Anthony's rasped breathing echoed in the spacious bathroom. “I'm done, so I'll go outside first...” Anne stumbled out of the bathtub and grabbed her pajamas on the hanging rack, before exiting the room.

Anthony took a deep breath and ran his fingers through his hair, revealing his brooding features. Ever since Anne had her memories back, she had been avoiding him.

“Why? Is it because of Bianca?" He thought, before landing his fist on the glass wall next to him furiously.

Anne heard the loud thud and tensed. She reached out to grab the pillow next to her and wrapped her arms around it to feel slightly more secured

A few minutes later, she heard the door to the bathroom opening and realized that Anthony was out of the shower.

She wondered for a moment if he was in a bad mood from what she did in the bathroom, as she knew just how dangerous Anthony could be when he was furious.

The bed sank as Anthony got into bed and Anne tensed, tightening her arms around the pillow she was holding.

“Let's sleep,” Anthony said hoarsely.

She froze, unable to react.

“Are you sleeping with a pillow in your arms? Hm?"

Anne had never had the habit of sleeping with a pillow in arms and as she contemplated her answer, he pulled the pillow away from her, before pressing up against her.

Feeling extremely anxious, she propped her hands against his chest. “Anthony, yo-"

“Call me Master.”

She bit on her lips, reluctant to comply as she always sounded like she was pleading when she did. “You don’t want to?"

“What are you trying to do?” She asked nervously.

“No matter what it is that I want, do you think you can run from it?” Anthony studied her face from a close proximity stubbornly.

Anne soon realized that the more she tried to distance herself from Anthony, the more unlikely she was to succeed.

“Be a good girl. Call me Master and I'll let you sleep,” he coaxed as he took in every detail of her delicate features.

Anne felt as though she had been gripped around the throat. She knew that it was Anthony's kink, but also knew that he would not let her escape if she refused to obey. After weighing the pros and cons in her mind, she eventually lowered her voice and muttered, “...Master..." She panicked as soon as the word was out of her lips.

He lowered his head and rubbed the tip of his nose against her. “Alright...”

Though confused at first, Anne soon realized what he meant by “alright’ when he went to sleep with her in his arms without doing anything.

He seemed to have calmed down from being called “Master’, and while Anne did not understand why that had happened, she was somehow overwhelmed by sorrow as she continued to face her back at Anthony.

The next day, Cory arrived at the Royal Mansion as a guest to see the triplets.

Back when Nigel had passed away, Cory had seen the triplets before, but he was not as keen to accept them into his family at the time.

The triplets had great memories and recognized Cory right away. However, they remained by Anne's side and merely greeted him by calling him “Great-Grandpa’

Cory did not pressure them as despite all the problems he had solved in his life, he was unsure of how to interact with the children. He brought them plenty of gifts knowing that the invitation for him to visit was Anne's way of saying that she was willing to be accepted into the Lloyd Family. "Anne, take the kids and Anthony to Athetin someday so that we can have a big family gathering,” Cory said. “Just because you can't see, doesn't mean that you should stay home all the time. Taking more walks outside will do you good.”

"Um..." Anne hesitated. She did not want to go to Athetin with Anthony, but since she had agreed to be included into the Lloyd Family, she could not quite refuse Cory's request. Moreover, Ashlynn was in Athetin and she had always been to one to visit Anne, so Anne figured she should go to visit Ashlynn for once. “Sure. I'll call you.”

Mia informed Bianca what she had overheard from the conversation.

Being alone with no one to support her, Bianca also needed to make sure that the Lloyd Family was in her favor; that way, she would have more chances to be with Anthony as well.

Cory got out of his car and was about to walk into the hotel, when he heard someone calling out to him.

“Grandpa.”

Cory turned around to find Bianca standing before him. He knew that Bianca was not Nigel's daughter by blood and was reluctant to talk to her.

“I didn’t know that you were here. Please don’t be mad at me for not coming over sooner,” she said. "What do you want?” Cory asked.

“I want to come visit you in Athetin some time. Is that okay?” Bianca asked, before lowering her head gloomily. “I know that I'm not Dad's daughter by blood, but he’s the only father I grew up to know and even if we weren't related, he was my dad. Which is why I feel drawn to you every time I see you, Grandpa. My parents are both gone and you are important to me. It doesn’t matter if I'm a member of the Lloyd Family. I just want to treat you well...” She whispered, as the tears in her eyes threatened to drop.

"Sigh! This was all your mother’s fault.”

"Yes, and she’s paid for it.”

"Anne and the others will be going to Athetin in a few days. I'll call you when they confirm the date!”

Overjoyed, Bianca wrapped her arms around Cory's endearingly. “I'll send you upstairs, then, Grandpa.”

Seeing how obedient she seemed, Cory accepted her offer.

Bianca did not leave until after she sent Cory back to his room and when she

returned to her car, she narrowed her eyes slyly.

She had reached out to Cory on purpose after Mia informed her that Anthony and Anne might be in Athetin. Even if she was not capable of doing anything at the moment, Bianca was determined to make Anne suffer mentally.

After all, inaction was never something Bianca was great at.

“Anne Vallois, you are just a woman who can't even see! Anthony will be mine, sooner or later!” She thought.

One week later, Anne, Anthony and the triplets traveled to Athetin by helicopter.
