She nodded dazedly and Anthony grabbed her hands to wipe them with a warm wet towel.

“I can do it myself...” She wanted to avoid his touch. Though she could not see, she could still wipe her own hands.

“Don’t move.” He tightened his grip and refused to let her escape.

Anne gave up on resisting. The warm sensation slowly moved from the back of her hands to her palms and she felt exceptionally sensation because she could not see.

He moved from her left hand to her right and for a moment, it felt as though all the nerves of her hands were directly linked to her heart and her heart raced at the slightest movement.

“Enough.” Unable to stand it any longer, she decided to jolt her hands away and placed them under the table, while clenching her fists.

She hated how she felt because she knew what it meant: she had fallen for Anthony uncontrollably. She would sometimes feel resentful at the fact that she had temporarily lost her memories, as she would not have fallen for Anthony otherwise.

Anne was overwhelmed by fear, not knowing if more suffering awaited her. All she could think of was to distant herself, and hope that it did not look obvious.

“I have to...’ She thought.

“How's tomorrow?” She asked.

Anthony immediately understood what she meant and said, “Sure.”

'If I have a better relationship with the Lloyds, Anthony might not be able to do as he pleases anymore since I will have a powerful family to back me up..." She thought.

Throughout the meal, Anthony continuously tended to her by serving food to her plate. There were numerous dishes on the table, but no seafood at all, he even moved closer to wipe the corner of her mouth with his finger, which caught her by surprise and caused her to tense.

She instinctively turned her face away from his touch and Anthony's expression instantly darkened. Though Anne could not see his face, she could sense the tension rising in the air and bowed her head to continue eating.

After they were done with the meal, they left the restaurant. Anthony wrapped his arm around her slim shoulders and led her toward the car.

The waitresses of the restaurant watched as they left and whispered to one another, “That guy looks so unapproachable, but why is he so caring? The woman looks so pretty and has a great body, too. What a great combination of a strong man and a frail woman. I'm so envious...”

“Yeah. Look at how he is holding her. She must feel so safe!”

Anne could not hear their discussion and simply went into the car.

At night, Anthony helped Anne with her bath as usual.

They had to shower together every day due to Anne's condition and Anne had to keep her mind from wandering every single time.

She simply thought of herself as a disabled person who needed help, but Anthony had such a strong presence that it was hard for her to keep fooling herself unless Anthony distanced himself from her.

Anthony was the only one who knew how much he was struggling.

He narrowed his eyes lustfully as his blood boiled. Anne seemed so innocent and every cell within him longed to touch her. He reached over her neck and tilted her head up so that she faced him. She froze as she sensed his hot breath caressing her skin. By the time she realized what he was about to do, it had been too late and he pressed his lips against hers.

"Umph!” Startled, she instinctively moved to shove him away.

“Shh...” He mumbled hoarsely. Not giving her a chance to fight him, he held her jaw in place and forced her to accept his kiss.
