Chapter 9 

CHLOE’S POV**** 

The pain that choked my heart had stopped and I could feel some moment of peace. Slowly I unfurled my eyes to a new environment, although I wasn’t certain of where I was, I could vividly recall what occurred yesterday before I lost consciousness and no doubt that I was at the Havel moon pack. 

I sat upright to stare at the fluffy pillows covered with embroidered covers, the colors were mostly white and made with silk fabric. My eyes drifted to the other side of the large master room where a white leather couch stood and behind it was a sophisticated dresser which I could not tell it content from where I sat. 

There were several pieces of artwork on the walls that were painted white, just while I kept glancing at how big and beautiful the room seemed, a knock came through the door and without being ushered in, the large wooden door swung open. 

“Good morning Luna! I am Rose your maidservant assigned to you, I must say that it is such an honor given such an opportunity to serve you” 

“Luna? Oh! I almost forgot that part” I spank my head lightly like it was my fault for being here while she stared at me perplexed. 

“Rose right?” 

“Yes, Luna!”

“I am here to help you get dressed while the chef is currently preparing something good for you, it is your first time here, so his majesty has instructed that the best banquet be prepared for you!!” Her mouth was running through the lines of her words and no doubt that she was an extrovert who was able to express herself freely. 

When she finally stopped talking, no doubt she was expecting me to say something, but I did not know what to say to her. 

“So if you do not mind Luna, how about you have your bath or will you like a bubble bath in a hot tub where I scrub your back carefully?” 

“No… thanks, I will just head to the bathroom and, I do not think that I need your help to get dressed“, 

“I am sorry My Luna, but you are the Luna of the highest pack within these territories, there is no way that you to’g 

will be allowed to get dressed on your own.” 

“Oh! I see… “I slid out of the bed, not certain of what next I should say to her, through the other door was the luxurious bathroom made with pure maples and glasses, I have always considered

Alpha Noah’s pack house to be luxurious, but this here was nothing to compare. 

I stepped out of the bathroom once I was through, and the maidservant who sat on the couch waiting for me immediately rose to her feet. 

“Here are a few outfits that I have selected for you, so which would you like to wear today?” She asked and I looked at them all lying on the bed, they were too sophisticated and made with high- end fabrics, I had never won anything like that before, and wasn’t even sure if I was going to be comfortable in them so I picked the most simple one. 

“I will go with the red one!” 

“Perfect!!” she exclaimed, her chubby face filled with so much excitement. Rose helped me get dressed, made my hair, and then applied some makeup on my face which I wasn’t comfortable with since I wasn’t attending any event but she insisted on it. 

She escorted me out of the room and as I stared at the large hallway that led downstairs, I was so amazed by how extravagant this mansion was, like extra efforts were made in the construction of the long dining table with twelve crafted chairs were a variety of dish set out on the table. 

Two guards stood at the door while a pretty lady also stood there with a smile that filled her beautiful face embedded with makeup. 

“My Luna! It is such an honor to have you here with us, I am caramel the king’s wing woman and I will be in charge of all your affairs, if you need anything, anything at all, do not hesitate to ask” 

“Luna please have a seat while I dish out your meal” Rose requested and I compiled still trying to get used to all the new faces and the extravagant life that they were trying to introduce me to 

Once Rose had dished out some French salad and sandwich made with turkey and some coffee set out on the table that smelled nice. 

they both stood close to the wall with their gaze piercing at me, but I had my eyes filled with several questions that I wasn’t certain about who had the answers to. 

“What about his majesty, won’t he be joining me?” 

“Oh No! His majesty is busy and can’t join you for breakfast, but he asked that we make sure that you have everything you wanted” Carmel replied but even as I grabbed the cutleries, my hands were trembling, I could not have a bite, and I was almost finding it difficult breathing. 

“Luna, if the meal is not to your taste, I can ask the chef to prepare something else for you, he is a professional and trust me, all his meals taste nice” Carmel reassured me again, but I could not tell her that I am unable to eat food made by others as a result of the trauma I experienced as a child after I was poisoned. 

“I am sorry, but I am not hungry, how about I go back to my room and have some rest?” I requested, getting overwhelmed by the new lifestyle.

“Is everything alright Luna, is there something you want, just say the word and we will have it ready. right away!” 

“Fine! I want the King!!” 

“What!! They both yelled out in unison, surprised at my request. 

“You are saying that we should go over to his majesty’s chamber and order him to come see you?” 

“I am not asking you to order him, I just want an audience with him” I explained properly but she did not seem forthcoming.
