Chapter 25 

“Yes…” Edith said, afraid that it would be another conspiracy. 

She often played billiards abroad. 

“Help me. It doesn’t matter whether you win or lose.” 

Carlos continued lazily. 

Edith’s heart skipped a beat. 

She thought, “Again? 

Can’t you talk business seriously? Is it really appropriate to be so hasty?” 

Edith wanted to cry. She said, “I’m not fit to do it… I’m just here to pay back Mr. Faris‘ money.” 

“What about the 20 thousand dollars you owe me?” Carlos asked calmly. Seeing the frustrated look on Edith’s face, he was in a good mood. “If you help me, you won’t have to pay it back.” 

“Really?” 

Edith’s eyes lit up in an instant. She rolled up her sleeves, picked up the cue stick excitedly, and said, “You can’t go back on your word. Everyone, please bear witness for me. Carlos had always been the focus of women’s attention. Sharon guessed that Carlos and Edith had nothing much to do with each other. 

Sharon wondered if he could get her. 

Edith rubbed her hands together, bent down, and began to play billiards, 

She was not showing off her skills, so she didn’t use those difficult skills. Edith just needed to hit the balls into the pockets. 

This time, Edith was confident that she would not lose. 

In less than ten minutes, Edith hit all the balls into the pockets and looked at Carlos proudly. 

However, Edith found it strange that Carlos did not look happy at all. On the contrary, he looked as if she owed him more money. 

Just as she was confused, Sharon clapped his hands and said with admiration, “Miss, you’re so good at playing billiards. I don’t even have to play. I admit defeat.” 

Sharon looked at Carlos and said with a smile, “Mr. Lawson, you don’t have any objections to this result, right?”

As he spoke, Sharon began to touch Edith’s body. 

Edith was so scared that she suddenly stood up straight and pushed Sharon away in a panic. 

Sharon stepped forward with a smile and asked, “What are you nervous about?” 

Just as Sharon was about to approach, Carlos suddenly came forward and stood between Sharon and Edith.

Edith was stunned. Before she could react, her body was pressed against the billiards table. 

Carlos was very close to her, but he was well–behaved. 

A faint minty fragrance came to Edith’s nose, which made her feel refreshed. 

Carlos‘ chest was very warm, but his vibe was very cold. He was really a strange person.
