Chapter 72 - Unexpected Dinner Guests

Lacey's PONV

feel really nervous and I don't know why

Tonight I'm hosting a dinner party and I've invited my brother Justin, his wife Sabrina and their kids to come and dine with us but oddly

enough, that's not why I'm so nervous

I'm nervous because my husband called me this afternoon and told me that he's got a surprise for me and he requested that I set five extra

spaces at the table which can only mean his surprise for me is a person or five people but who are they?

"You look beautiful, mummy”

“"Mmm-hmm, you look just like Princess Catherine”

I cup my baby girl's face and kiss her cheek

"Is daddy coming home soon, mum? I miss him"

"He should be home soon, baby"

Isay while looking at the clock on my wall

He's actually running late today which is odd considering he told me he was leaving work early today

Teddy and I leave my bedroom and we head downstairs to check on the dining area and also on the food

“Poppy, how are the cupcakes? the boys haven't stolen any, have they?"

My kids love our staff and they treat them like members of our family which as a mother makes me very proud because I always thought

when we moved here that they'd turn into spoiled rich brats who would treat the help like they're below them

three humans as of now who call you that and 1 ain't one of them"
