Vaughn’s eyes flickered as he said, “I’m quite puzzled. You have such a good relationship with Lady Lockwood, and logically, your relationship with the Mapleton family should also be good. So how did things become so strained?” 

Hazel’s attitude toward Emrys was very poor, and Vaughn had noticed that quite early on. However, what he hadn’t expected was that Pascal was even more outrageous. Pascal actually wanted to kill Emrys.

Emrys also glanced over, his face showing a hint of confusion. 

The young man who was speaking was unfamiliar to him. He only recognized Darrell, who was seated next to the young man. Thus, he turned his head and asked, “Chancellor Diaz, who is that?” 

Vaughn gave a dry laugh and said, “That’s Gilbert Cunningham, the scion of the Cunningham family. His father just assumed the position of Jipsdale Martial Arts Alliance Headquarters‘ guardian.”
