Chapter 1206 Another Wrong Move

The water in the dungeon suddenly tilted downward, the water level rising to reach Josie's neck.

Her struggles proved futile, and she closed her eyes, awaiting her impending drowning.

Josephine turned off the water valve and said, "If you don't speak up, I'll turn it back on, and you'll surely die."

Josie, however, remained incredibly composed. "If I die, you'll die too."

"Even on the brink of death, you're still so defiant. I doubt you'll have the chance to witness my demise."

Josephine tried to turn the water valve again, but the bodyguard held her back. He shook his head and said, "We can't drown her yet. Mr. Carter needs her alive for his plans, so she can't die now!" "What's the point? She's just a woman! Move aside!"

There was no response.

"Are you so certain that she won't leave you, even after knowing the truth? You're overly confident."

Still, there was no response.

"Kill me!" Splashes of water erupted as Josie stood on the brink of her defenses collapsing. Her voice echoed. "You might as well kill me directly. I look down on you for tormenting me like this!"

After a moment, a voice finally came through the camera. "I wouldn't have said those things to Josephine if I were you."

It was cold and laced with mockery.

"Since I was the one who brought her aboard, I obviously had my reasons. You're too foolish, Josie."

These words felt like a divine torment.

"She was an innocent, even kind-hearted woman. If you pleaded with her, there was a chance she might secretly let you go. Josie, you've made another wrong move. Weren't you always the best at playing coy and acting vulnerable? Why have you stopped?"

He response was dripping with irony. Josie was on the brink of madness at that point. The seawater was corroding her entire body, pushing her to the edge of collapse. "Just go ahead and kill me."

"The video had already been sent to Dexter, and I am eagerly anticipating his next move."
