Chapter 28 Cherokee Makes A Decision

I finished working on the motor and closed the hood on the car. I backed it out of the garage and then walked into the office to hang the keys up. I was getting ready to walk out of the office and into the garage when I heard a few prospects talking.

"Did you see Dove in those jeans?"

" Fuck Cherokee is one lucky son of a bitch."

"If I had Dove as my woman and she walked past me in those jeans."

" Dude, I would have thrown her over my shoulder and headed to our room and made love to her."

Then they walked away and I walked out of the door and pushed the button closing the garage door. I walked threw the other door and locked it. I walked to the clubhouse and looked around for Dove.

I heard her voice coming from the kitchen. "Dove will you fucking stop baking?"

" Shut the hell up Whiskey she yelled."

I walked to the kitchen door and saw Dove with her back to me pounding dough.

"What the hell are you making this time anyway?"

" More bread."

" Get over whatever you are feeling and get out of my kitchen. Kiss my ass Whiskey I told him as I glared at him."

I watched as he stormed away from me. I went back to pounding the dough. I did not know that Cherokee was behind me. Dove, I didn't turn around to look at him.

"What do you need Cherokee I asked him?"

" What has you upset?"

" Nothing I said continuing to manipulate the dough and putting it in the bread pans."

"Did I do something to upset you?"

" What makes you think that I asked?"

" Oh, I don't know. You have been avoiding me since the BBQ."

I washed my hands and put towels over the pans. Then I turned and walked to the door.

"I am giving you the space you seem to want."

" I got the message Cherokee."

" You don't want me the way a man wants his woman."

" I get it I said walking past him and out of the kitchen door."

I turned and looked at her as she walked by me. She is wrong. Dead wrong. I want her all right. I want to feel her body under me. I want to feel her arms around me. Holding me calling out my name. I walked out of the kitchen and up the stairs to our room. I took a shower and put on clean clothes. I am losing her. I should have kissed her more. I was sitting at the VIP table when Beast walked in and looked at me.

"The kids are gone with your parents for three weeks."

" I said she is not ready."

I didn't see Dove walk out of the room. I didn't know that she had gone upstairs. I also didn't know that she was in our room taking a shower and crying. She was crying in the shower so that no one could hear her. I slid down the shower wall and cried. I don't know how to make him want me. I want him more than I ever wanted Wolf. Why do I do this to myself?

I opened it and looked at the pills. I had been prescribed the medication almost a year ago. I don't want them. I shut the door and got dressed and brushed my hair. Before I walked out of the bedroom door I looked over at the bed. I sighed and walked down the stairs. I had shorts, and a cut-off shirt on.
