Chapter-5 June 8th

Reagan's POV:

I wake up due to my alarm ringing so close to my ear, when I try to reach the night stand I almost fell off the bed, but I compose myself and look at my left and saw the whole bed is empty but this piece of shit had to sleep on my side of the bed, and goddammit this alarm, I grab my phone and turn it off.

"Hey! Get off me" I said shaking Faithlynn.

"Get your fat ass of a leg off me." I said a little louder in her ear and pushed her off me, and finally get to the bathroom to get ready for the day.

When I get out of the bathroom my bed was empty, she must have gone to make the breakfast.

Today is an important meeting so I have to dress up a little fancy. So, I went with dark blue jeans and white shirt with brown blazer over it and brown belt and shoes. I straighten my hair and put a little makeup on and sprayed some perfume. And then went down into the kitchen for breakfast.

As I enter the kitchen, I saw her sitting on the bar stool at the kitchen island with her plate of breakfast and mine on the other side, and in that moment, I was hit by the memories of last night that I had totally forgotten. I don't know what to do, it's probably going to be awkward.

"Morning" she said with an innocent smile. When she saw me sitting beside her.

"Good morning" I said eating the breakfast.

"What's on agenda today?" I asked her, because today I'm going to be pretty busy with the meeting and work.

"Nothing, just going to chill around since I have everything figured out" she said with much enthusiasm.

I really don't want to talk about it right now, I can't do this, I should leave.

I ate my breakfast hastily, she kept glancing at me in amusement, she knows I'm uncomfortable right now but No! she has to make fun of me.

"I have to go, I have an important meeting and I would probably be busy all day today". I said putting my plate in the sink, when I was about to pick my mobile up from the island I catch Faithlynn checking me out.

"Uhmm..." I cleared my throat and her eyes shot up to meet mine and she blushed. Seriously now? She is going to blush because I catch her checking me out? It's definitely going to be awkward.

"Bye!" I said while walking towards the door, and then I remember I didn't gave her any money she might need. So I went back inside, she was sitting at the same place scrolling through her phone.

"Here" I said handing her one of my credit cards and some cash. She just looked at the card and the cash in my hand.

"Take it Faith, I don't have time for any argument, use this card if you are less on cash." I said putting the card and the cash on the island. And rushing back out to the door but stopped because I forgot something.

"Now what?" She asked.

"Just this." I said running to her and pecking her forehead "Bye, don't burn my house down". I saw her blushed and run back out of the house into the car and off to work.

Today was a hectic day, I didn't even have lunch nor dinner and I'm so tired. I packed all my stuff ready to leave when I run into Amelia again, I think she does it on purpose.

"Hey" she said over excitedly.

"Hello! Amelia what are you doing here at this hour?" It's late for someone to visit and I really want to go home.

"I come to see you." She said.

"What is it Amelia makes it quick I really want to go home." I said exhaustedly.

"You are still rude" she said scowling at me, "Just tell Faith to call me, I haven't heard from her in weeks."

"Thats all?" I asked astound,at why she would come all the way to my work place just for this.

"Yeah! Dont forget, bye!" She said leaving.

When I came home all the light were off, I think she's already asleep, and I wish she was because I don't want to talk about the whole getting married thing. But to my dismay she was sitting on the couch watching some movie. When I walk into the living room, I turned the lights on. She looked at me and smile sweetly her contagious smile, so I smile back.

"How was your day? I had called you multiple times, but you didn't respond." She said looking at me intently, I was ignoring her, didn't she get the hint? I walked in the living room and sat on the couch stretching my neck.

"Yeah, it was a hectic day, did you make dinner, do we have any leftovers?" I asked going into the kitchen and she followed.

"Sit, I'll bring you the food" she said pointing at the bar stool.

"No, you can go back to whatever you were watching, I can manage." I said opening the fridge, but she slapped my hand away.

"Go sit down, I'll bring you food." She said in a serious tone. And I oblige.

Instead of sitting at the kitchen island I went back into the living room and sat on the couch making myself comfortable.

I think I might have dozed off, because Faithlynn was shaking me handing me the food.

I started eating and then I asked, "how often do you talk to Amelia?"

"We talk almost everyday, why?" She replied, and I didn't knew about it?

"Why didn't you tell me that you guys talk everyday?"I asked hurt.

" Why should I tell you, can't I talk to my friends without telling you?" She asked getting defensive.

"No, I mean... I don't mean it like that, it's like you had never mentioned her before and now she starts showing up at my workplace. I think it's weird, if she wants to talk to you, she should come to you or call you not me." I said explaining myself.

"She showed up at your office?" She asked, looking shocked.

"Yeah, and she told me to ask you to call her or talk to her." I said looking at her for an explanation, and she just replied with "oh, I will."

"What is going on between the two of you?" I asked her when I didn't get any explanation.

"Nothing" she just shrugged.

"Can we talk about the wedding?" She asked changing the topic smoothly.

"Can we talk tomorrow, I'm really tired right now?" I asked, she nod.

And we went to our room, I changed and went to sleep and was attacked by Faithlynn. I really need my personal space.

"Can't you sleep on your side of the bed?" I asked irritated.

"No" she said, "and get used to it" God how do I get rid of her.

"Good night, Alpha" she whispered, and sleep took over me.
