Onyx POV

The sounds of sirens are accompanying the sound feet beating on the ground with shouts to run faster and asking if there is anyone here fill the woods.

Everyone splits up and ran to different directions when we heard the noises. Looks like the humans have arrived too late as always.

These humans wouldn’t be able to see the vampires that we killed only the ashes that are flying in the air after our massacre but they will find two human bodies in the basement.

The first out of probably many bystanders that will die by our hands

They weren’t innocent but they didn’t have anything to do with our little war and yet they had hurt one of my pack members in the past and she is still scared of them.

So, I had to get rid of the monsters that haunt her dreams.

How can I except someone to be okay with helping to get rid of my demons if I can’t have the monsters she fears annihilated as well.

I don’t think she told us that to have them killed Onyx.

“Well she should’ve told Amos instead then. We became her big sister and I will be damn if anyone ever hurts my family. If any does they will die in the slowest way possible. Is that going to make you hate me Mika?”

No, I agree with this decision but for the time being let’s not tell willow that we killed them. She may close herself off completely if she finds out right now.

“You’re right, she did just open up to us.”

I try to mind link Amos but only got silence and a ting of worry penetrated my emotions.

I tap into the mind link to Ragnar, “Will you go to stay back to make sure Amos is good and that the humans don’t find him? He may be sleep now”

“Of course, Alpha”

“Also tell him that Willow doesn’t need to know about this at the moment and if he has any questions to come to me.”

“Yes Alpha. I will let you know when he wakes and, on the way, back.”

“Thank you, Ragnar. I will see you tonight.”

Closing the link, I turn around and jump onto a high tree branch just as a human ran by calling to the others.

“Onyx” Demon called to me

“Yes, that’s me”

I can feel him rolling his eyes, “We’ll meet at the hotel. There’s too many humans around for me to come to you directly without me killing at least half of them.”

Biting my lip anxious, “Okay, be safe and I’ll see you when you get there.”

“Back at you, little wolf”

“I ain’t fucking little, asshole.”

He laughs and cuts the link.

I look at the trees across from me and start jumping from tree to tree. Staying above the ground and in the shadows.

At the edge of the woods, cop cars and a fire trucks surround this part of the woods but their drivers all abounded them with the keys still in them.

Jumping down, I weave through the car maze and try not to breathe in all the fumes coming from the exhaust pipes.

Before leaving I see the most beautiful mustang just sitting there pretending to be a police car but knowing that it was meant to be something completely different. Begging me take him with me.

Sighing, “If I had the time I would take you and make you mine but I would have to get someone to get the tracking chip out of you and get you repainted but alas I don’t.”

I go to walk away but it just keeps begging me, “Oh fine, we’ll figure something out. Needed to get a car for tonight anyway.”

Mika shakes her head at me, “you do know that the car can’t talk right?”

I get in the mustang “Mika just leave me to enjoy this okay?”

She rolls her eyes as the feel of the wheel sparks a fire of want that could burn the forest in front of me.

Purring, this baby rides like a dream with the wind blowing hair everywhere and makes everything outside the car a blur.

All too soon we park in front of the hotel and the girl that greeted me the first time I came here.

“Miss. Onyx how are you today?”

Stepping out, I give her the keys, “I’m good, would be better if you can have someone repaint the car for me and clean it up probably.”

The girl eyes got huge and opened and closed her mouth a few times before nodding, “I will um try to um have it done madam.”

Laughing, “Don’t do anything that you don’t want to. If you do then make sure that you are prepared to handle the consequences.”

She gulped as we both held the key in the air.

Me waiting on her to make a decision that may change her life for good.

Inhaling deeply, she closes her eyes and take the keys from my fingers.

Her determined eyes tell me all that I needed to know, “It will be done before you and Mr. King leaves.”

Smiling, I head to the elevators as the girl feet scutters to the back office and she calls someone that clearly doesn’t work for the hotel.

At least until now.

Mika sighs, I can’t believe you just corrupted that girl to do your dirty work.

“It’s not like I asked her to kill someone or bury the body.”

Yeah but she is having someone defaming a cop car and making it yours.

“That’s better than having her clean my bloody clothes at least.”

She sighed, “whatever”

Chuckling I went into the elevator to the floor that holds not only my little munchkins but the pack that is starting to make a home in my soul.
