Demon Pov

The flame girl, Willow, didn’t start opening up more to the others after we got her and Ragnar clothes and went to a diner in town.

At the diner a woman called her name looking through the window and going to the entrance.

Esmeralda quickly spoke a few words in Greek and waved a hand over Willow’s face before they stepped in.

Her face changed slightly but you would never guess that it was her. The woman came over to the table and did a double take before she whispered, “I’m sorry for bothering you. I thought that she was a child I know. Forgive me” and then left.

Willow’s face turned to stone when she saw her but none of us questioned her about it instead we finished eating and getting groceries as the sun came down.

The others went back to the hotel as Onyx and I walked flame girl back to the vampires coven.

I watch the girl smile and look peacefully at the moon.

“Why is the tips of your hair blue?”

She shrugged her shoulders, “Its always been like that. Mom said I was cursed, and the blue hair is a symbol of that and was a disgrace to the family.”

Onyx tilts her head, “Do you believe that?”

“Yes and no. Like if I was really cursed then why raise me or keep me? Why not just get rid of me and say that I died? Why make my life a living hell?”

Willow shakes her head, “It doesn’t matter now because I’m getting away from them and I will become someone that I can like.”

Onyx smiles at me and I feel my face sending one back. Willow jumps and quickly turns to us, “That is if you guys let me stay. I swear I wont be a burden. I’m not a supernatural but I am smart for my age.”

“You can stay with us and do whatever you like so long as you don’t hurt anyone you can stay. Also you are Amos’ mate but you don’t have to do anything mate like with him. Just don’t shut him.”

Onyx adds, “You two could be friends and if any feeling do occur then it’s up to you and him to act on it. Just wait until you are 18 at least. Okay?”

She blushed before nodding her head and scurrying into the mansion.

Running my hand through this stupid thick hair of mine, I gently grab Onyx.

Her eyes just get a deeper and more beautiful blue as the moon luminates behind her, “Whats up, Demon?”

Sighing I think about what Shadow was telling me about earlier, “I see you as my best friend and as the boys’ mom. I will never take that title from you even when we both becomes alphas over Vantablack. And…”

Coughing a little, my feet is a much better view than to face the rejection that may come, “And in the future maybe …we can…um maybe… get …married, one day?”

The silence that followed cut through me like a knife.

I told you this was stupid now we just made it awkward and she going to feel pressured to give us an answer.

“Will you calm yourself down and look at her face before you run the fuck away like always.”

I don’t always do that, you fucking prick.

Onyx hand slowly comes into view before gently pushing my chin up to her face, “Yes we can get married one day but let’s make it after the war we are about to start, okay?”

“See overreacting for no reason.”

“oh, shut up you were shaking and shit. So don’t try to act like you know what her answer was going to be either.

Onyx chuckles, “You and Shadow are cute when y’all are bickering.”

My face felt like a flame thrower had come out to play as that beautiful woman laughed her way into the house.

Two weeks passed until a new moon filled the forest in darkness, no light found anywhere.

Micky held my left hand tightly while Alex held my right.

Onyx on the other side of Micky holding his hand and casting her eyes at him. Trying to see if he was in any pain or changed his mind and wanted to wait until he healed some more before doing this. But other than his sweaty hands Micky showed no interest of going back into the mansion and neither did the girl that he said we had to bring.

The girl has bright red wild curly hair with hazel eyes that we caught staring at Micky since we got back to the mansion.

Amos told us that he is finally awake and we go into the room only to see the girl that Onyx saved from the vamps and Micky staring at each other as if there was no one else in the room.

Alex was sitting on the bed and looked up from his color book, put a finger over his lips shushing the both of us and then giggled before going back to what he was doing.

“They’re more than likely mates” Shadow says.

A fire flickered to life a few feet away from us with Amos holding it up.

“That maybe the case but for now one night, one problem at a time.”

Shadow nods and waits for Amos to start.

“This night will not be the night that is talked about by others or even marked in the history books. This night will only be remembered by us and even if we were to tell our descendants of this night they would not be able to experience what we have felt. This night under the New Moon marks the night that our pack was born.”

I release the breath locked in the throat as Onyx did the same.

Another fire flickered to like, this time with Ragnar holding it, “On this night, in this forest we will pledge our loyalty and life to not one wolf but two. We will became a pack that do any and everything for their alphas.”

All around us, the others all whispered at the same time, “Yes”

“This pack will not care what you are so long as you protect and honor this pack, then we will protect you as well.”

Their voices got louder as Amos did, “Yes”

“No one will harm or take what is ours. We will be the ones to destroy and take.”

“Yeah”

The third and finally light flickered to life, with Esmeralda holding it, “Tonight we accept and pledge our lives to Demon and Onyx King as our alphas.”

“Yessss” They all screamed and soon I started feeling a link to all of them connect with me and assume that Onyx can feel them too.

I can feel all their emotions and knew that none of them was going to betray me because of the sense of undying loyalty to us.

Amos put his free hand into a fist and over his heart before he got down to one knee in front of us. Shadow came to the forefront with me and we shared mind and body at that moment.

“I Amos Walker, pledge my life, blood, loyalty and future to you my Elders. If I am ever to betray you or bring harm to our pack may the moon goddess have mercy for I know that you nor the pack will and I accept that and the punishment that come with your fury.”

Onyx and I say in sync, “I accept you and the position of being your Elder.” Soon after I can hear Amos’s thoughts and can feel his emotions.

The pack link is starting to connect and solidify.

Ragnar does the same actions as Amos but to my right, “I Ragnar Moon, pledge my life, blood, loyalty and future to you my alphas. If I am ever to betray you or bring harm to our pack may the moon goddess have mercy for I know that you nor the pack will and I accept that and the punishment that come with your fury.”

“I accept you and the position of being your Alpha.”

Esmeralda repeats the actions, on onyx’s left side, “I Esmeralda Gray, pledge my life, blood, loyalty and future to you my Priest and Priestess. If I am ever to betray you or bring harm to our pack may the moon goddess have mercy for I know that you nor the pack will and I accept that and the punishment that come with your fury.”

“I accept you and the title of being your Priest.”

“I accept you and the title of being your Priestess.”

“Thank you” they all said in the pack link as if testing to see it worked.

Onyx chuckled through the link, “It worked and Thank you for putting your trust in us.”

Esmeralda shakes her head, “Can’t believe that really worked thought the moon goddess was going to deny us making a pack. Guess not.”

Ragnar rolled his eyes, “She had no choice but to if she wants us to do what she needs.”

I say to the others around us, “Make your pledge to us and we will be the alphas that you need and no one will defeat us. Our pack will be feared by all including the Goddess. So what do you all say? ”

With cheers and howls sounding through the night, Vantablack was born.
