The next day I wake up to see that he hadn't slept at all. Just stayed up and watched over the twins.

"and us"

I sighed, "I doubt that, Mika"

"You should shift that way we can travel faster."

I nodded, "where are you heading?"

He stayed silent before sighing, "anywhere that isn't a pack. Where are you trying to go?"

I smirk a little, "anywhere that isn't a pack."

He huffs with a smirk as he puts out the fire and wakes the boys up softly.

"Come on my little nuggets we have to go."

I smile at the nickname and shift into Mika's grey body.

The boys wake up slowly and looked at me.

That's when I realized that I will never be able to tear these two apart.

They both have the same brown hair as the man, but they didn't have the man's black eyes. Instead they have blue eyes almost the same shade as mine.

One of them smiled widely and ran over to me, "You're okay! I knew you were going to be okay, but you slept for so long and I thought papa was going to have to kiss you awake like Aurora in sleeping beauty."

Mika is chuckling at the youngling, "this is the one we met yesterday"

"I see that"

The other little one rolled his eyes, "papa can't kiss her without her permission, Alex"

Alex, still attached to my legs, "how he supposes to ask if she's asleep, Micky"

Micky shrugs, "its rude to kiss a girl without her knowing. Like what if she doesn't want you to kiss her."

Alex looks so cute as he tries to think of a comeback but then gives up and sticks his tongue out at his brother.

The man laughs shaking his hair, "Okay boys turn into your wolves and remember the faster you shift the quicker the pain will go away."

It took the boys a few minutes to shift into their tiny black wolves. They would've been all black if it wasn't for Micky's left paw and Alex's right paw.

Their paws matched Mika's.

"Okay what the hell? Mika?"

Mika shrugged, "I don't know. Maybe they were always meant to be ours. You know I don't have all the damn answers woman."

The man looked at us quizzingly when he saw their paws and Mika's fur before shifting into his tall yet boney wolf.

"he still handsome though"

I roll my eyes and watch as he picks up the bag and nods his head to the left.

The pups walk off in that direction before we do as well.

We walk side by side watching the pups chase each other.

We stop every few hours to eat and let the pups rest.

After a while he lets the pups into the bag, and we keep walking.

The sun starts to go down, but I keep walking until I realize that he stops.

I tilt my head at him, and he shakes his head before going into the bushes and sets the bag down before getting wood and taking it to where the pups are.

I help by getting some firewood as well until I hear a moan.

I look at the wolf just as he looks up at me.

He tilts his head at me.

I shake my head slowly

Then we hear it again.

I walked toward him and stood next to him.

The moaning kept going.

It sounded like someone was dying.

And it sounded like a man.

I take a few steps back at the thought.

It's one thing for us to bump into our mate and the twins but it's completely different when some random guy that we can't see is moaning like he's dying.

Mika is shaking until the wolf bumps his head gently against her then nods over to where the twins are.

We nod our head and walk to them shaking.

I lay next to the twins and wrapped around them I hide them from the world.

A world that is so cold that even children aren't safe from its sharp bloody claws.
