Hidden Truths and New Realizations

Amy’s POV

Two months.

Two whole months I've been trying to get my sister and failing to do that.

I tried every spell and even dared to call demons so that I could find in what part of the hell my sister was. But it's like she disappeared off the hell. No one knew where she landed when she was banished with my mother. Either I had to try harder or the other realization...it was just so surreal.

I don't believe that Keira is dead.

“Oh honey, sometimes it’s too hard to tell you two apart.” I was in deep thoughts when Hannah spoke up making me cringe. Every time she said that it made me only angry that if I fail, I'm never going to meet my sister.

Honestly, when I told her that there was a way to save my sister, I didn’t even know how. The spell to open the veil between earth and hell was with Danny. He opened the gate once to send Zach to hell. Only he could help me but as my pride wouldn’t let me ask him for help. So I was helplessly trying to make something...anything to open the veil. I even tried summoning Zach, but it was in vain.

"Amy?"

"Hmm." I distractedly answered.

“Dear, you alright?” She asked me again, her hands on my shoulder in concern.

“Yes. Just trying to find the right spells.” I dismissed her but I really wasn’t feeling well. I didn’t meet Danny for whole two months which meant my body and mind wasn’t strong without him. He made my hunger gone and without him, I was just a vessel.

A monster looking for the next soul to devour.

“You look tired. Do you need...?” She stopped mid-sentence removing her hands from my shoulder.

“What?”

I was confused. What was she trying to ask?

“You know... Soul?”

I frowned looking at her. Is this the reason she always looks guarded with me? Did she think that I would take her soul if pissed? She must have seen the horror on my face so she quickly apologized.

“I didn’t mean it like that way. We need you stronger now. So I thought...”

“It’s OK. Hannah... Is something wrong?”

Since the day I’ve come here she was in hesitation. She seemed to know something but wasn’t too happy to share.

“No..no...nothing.”

“You are lying. I can see it in your eyes and don’t forget I can influence you. You’re afraid to tell me something. What is it?” This time I pressed harder and influenced her. Yes, she was lying and afraid.

“I-I...your mother took my soul once. When she was sent to hell every person’s soul they took was returned. The humans were worst, they completely changed. I was a clan leader but still, when I returned, I was too weak. I wasn’t even strong enough to protect my clan. So something happened.” Didn’t I know it?

“What happened?” I asked her with a calm voice. I didn’t need to get her more afraid than she was.

“Someone... Some people of my clan got possessed. They were talking gibberish. They were asking for some Seeker. I didn’t know what to do. Then they all got self-destructive. Your sister’s husband wasn’t too kin to help. Dalton also couldn’t find any spell. Alex was a disaster when your sister went to hell. And no offense but I know only Keira can help us. But she is...”

All the talking was fading as she told me about the Seeker.

“What...what Seeker?” I asked panicking.

“Huh? Oh... Legend has that Seekers don’t go well with... Well, the Reapers. When a witch and demon mates, that's what happens. Their offsprings become a Reaper hunter. They were born solely to kill your species. It’s like a poison to your kind. You will want to kill them and they’ll do the same. If you want I have some books about them.”

Seekers....my mind was turning and twisting cause I knew one seeker I learned to love... My Danny.

“Dear...what happened?” She asked me when she didn’t find any expression from me.

“Seekers...do they always have to kill Reapers?” I asked slowly.

“Um...I don’t know much Seekers to know about but in a century there were some Seekers who learned to live like normal people. They don’t hunt Reapers not much now but it is in their instinct to kill one when they see one. And oh, they are the most cunning creatures in the world. They lie, manipulate and when their prey trust them blindly that’s when worst thing happens, I mean they attack.”

Then why didn’t he killed me? Now I understand why he hated me. He wanted to kill me. Then why save me in the first place?

I was so so stupid! I couldn’t believe I let him play me like that. Now I was seeing clearly, he wanted me to gain his trust. And then when I’ll be at my weakest he would kill me. It was a game to him. Well...he should’ve known, I’ve let my first love destroy me but I wouldn’t let him destroy me.

Never...

Harrison’s POV

The day went on the same way just added the bonus of living with Dalton. After influencing the cops he was getting weaker so he was held back at my place. And, then something came up with his clan which turned his staying here into two whole months. It was good in a way as he trained me to get me strong on my warlock side. I still had many questions to ask him but when I went to his room, he was sleeping. So the only way to kill my time, I started to read the diary again;

"Dear diary,

You wouldn’t believe what happened. That guy which name I now know as Danny tried to poison me! I mean how dare he! He said it was best for the world anyway. He hates Reapers but just get it over with! Who cares who he hates! Why will he try to take my life when I was the one helping her sister heal? I just don’t understand that boy.

And whenever he came to see her sister he will give me his own evil glare which could melt a human but I was a Reaper. I wasn’t going to spare him too. I tried to kill him. But to my horror, he was immune to my calling. I couldn’t take his soul. Instead, it made me sick. So I also did something. Well...I’d never say this aloud but I did a stupid thing. I burned his shirt. I know....it was fifty shades of embarrassing!

When he was going out a nurse also came rushing into the room to give us our medicine. And then whoosh! His shirt burnt down. But the look of disbelieving was a point for me. As if someone has slapped him, he turned away...oh no, ran away from the room. His sister had a first real smile on her face that day. So I wasn’t in shame anymore.

Some days have passed that Danny hasn’t returned. It’s not like I miss him or something, but it was fun to argue with someone. His sister said the last time I hurt his ego. What’s with these boys and their egos?

But she also gave me some information. She was hidden here cause her fiancé turned out to be a hellhound disguised as a human. I pitied her. My boyfriend at least died and then turned back on me. But in her case, she didn’t even know until the night of her marriage. Danny was the one who had found it and sent him to hell.

I was interested in many reasons. Zach was still an ass and when he was physically bound, he started to hurt me in my dream. He had found a way to walk on people’s dreams and mess it up. I wanted Zach gone and there was only one who could help me, Danny. I asked her to help me but she said only Seekers can open a veil. I’d known that recently the veil was closed because of my mother. So if Danny didn’t help me then I’m screwed. I’m going to ask for an apology if he ever returns, which he has to. And hopefully... Wish me luck that I can escape this hellhole once and all.”

I closed the diary and a smile crept up my face. If I’m ever going to know this girl, I’m never giving this diary up.

Stranger’s POV

I’ve been watching this for years. I’ve been waiting for years to go back to earth. But nothing helped. I took clan leaders sweetest blood, married thousand black magic witches, made people mad but still nothing. And when the chance came to that woman, that disgraced woman ruined everything! I should have never taken her hand in marriage. I should’ve let everyone killed her. I should have killed her myself when they trapped her.

“What are you doing here, came to see my misery?” She hissed glaring at me, still a feisty.

Oh! Only you knew.

“Don’t talk to me in that tone. You have disgraced me.” I commanded hoping she’ll start fearing me. But who was I kidding? Her brown eyes were sending daggers at me instead of fear showing in them.

“No...you’ve disgraced me, ruined me, stripped me of my purity.”

Oh this Woman, a running fireball.

“But you should’ve taken my hand. Then you wouldn’t have to worry about your children killing yourself, Keisha!” I screamed at her pathetic figure.

Keisha was weaker than I last saw her. She was in a prison with nothing but her past memories. I had banned her from taking souls. So she was as good as gone. And for her daughter Keira...maybe she was really dead too.

“I chose what I had to choose. You bewitched me. Talked about love and sacrifice. I didn't even realize when I got trapped into your control. You were the one who didn’t let me live in peace! I had to kill my husband to lift the curse you brought upon me! Your book didn't work. You lied to me!” She yelled at my face gripping the iron trying to rip it apart. Too bad she wasn’t as powerful as she used to be.

“I just bought a curse upon you, don’t I sweet Keisha? So who saved you your sacrifice, who thought you’ll be a perfect bride and took powers from an old one. I wasn’t the one who got knocked up even if she wasn’t meant to spread this curse.” I mocked at her newfound energy knowing soon she’ll be gone too.

“I couldn’t bring myself to kill my newlywed husband. And I didn’t know you’ll think I’d marry you. A hellhound!” She cried out.

“But you married an old one! That wasn’t a person! You tried to bound your daughters with one too.”

Wasn’t she ashamed like I thought her to be? I thought by possessing her I could kill her daughters and end the bloodline of reapers. But no! She had to play dirty!

“If I wanted to save myself, I would’ve killed them a long ago. But it’s about family and love, which you lack, Sage. So this time you’ll rot in hell, with me.” She snarled.

Oh! You’re so going to regret this Keisha cause if my plan is working then soon your other daughter will be destroyed too. No one can stop me from my dream now.

No one.
