"Kaley, I need your blood to save Izabella now!"

When Kaley received a call from Brett, she almost thought she was dreaming when she heard that he needed her blood.

She clenched her fists, her nails digging deep into her flesh, but she didn't feel any pain.

"Did something happen to Izabella?"

Brett's voice was trembling, "Yes, she's had a miscarriage and is bleeding heavily. You know her blood type is special, and there's no supply at the hospital. Only your blood can save her."

Kaley gritted her teeth, only realizing the pain in her hand after a moment, but it was soon drowned out by the pain in her heart.

"Brett, I'm hurt too!" How could Brett ask her to give blood to that damn Izabella? He knew she had a special constitution, wouldn't drawing blood risk her life?

Everyone is selfish to some degree, but Kaley's extremely selfish. At this moment, she had completely forgotten that if it weren't for Izabella's blood donations over the past four years, she would have died long ago.

Brett said, "Kaley, I know I'm asking a lot, but if you agree to save Izabella, I'll agree to any conditions you have."

A glimmer of hope appeared in Kaley's dim eyes. This might be an opportunity. Brett had always avoided marrying her, but since he said he would agree to her demands, she would ask him to divorce Izabella! "Will you really agree to anything I want?"

"Yes."

At this point, Kaley calmed down a bit. If she didn't save Izabella, who would die, it would become an insurmountable barrier between her and Brett.

"Fine, I'll head over right away."

After hanging up, Kaley tried to move her legs. After falling from such a height, her legs were bruised and hurt.

She yelled upstairs, "Trista, bring me a coat, will you?"

Trista brought the coat and asked, "Ms. Cornett, are you going out?"

"Yep, Izabella had a miscarriage and is bleeding heavily. Brett called me to go to the hospital and donate my blood."

Trista was surprised at Kaley's calm expression. This was unlike Kaley's style. How could she possibly be so kind as to give blood to Izabella, given how much she hated her?

Trista didn't ask any more questions and handed Kaley the coat. Seeing the bruises on Kaley's legs, she asked with concern, "Are you okay with your injuries?"

"No big deal," Kaley replied as she hailed a cab. Trista helped her out and off to the hospital.

Inside the hospital, Brett had never felt time passing so slowly. He was outside the emergency room, with Izabella inside. They were just a few meters apart, but it felt like a world away, as if separated by life and death.

The nurse looked at Brett after he hung up the phone and pushed the critical condition notice in front of him. "Sir, please sign here."

Brett quickly signed his name, and the nurse looked at it thoughtfully, thinking about the call he had just made and the conversation. She didn't hear what the person on the other end said, but from his expression, it seemed that he'd found someone with the same blood type to donate blood.

The nurse breathed a sigh of relief and showed the notice to Amelia in the operating room, telling her what she'd heard.

Amelia also sighed with relief when she heard that someone was coming to donate blood to save Izabella.

Izabella hadn't fallen into a coma yet. If she lost too much blood, it could lead to irreversible brain damage, brain death, or becoming a vegetable.

"Izabella, I know you can hear me," Amelia said, leaning closer to her ear. "Don't give up. Think about that jerk outside. Are you really going to let him off the hook like this? He's hurt your family, and now he's hurt your child too. If I were you, I'd live and get my revenge!"
