Brett came to pick up Izabella for the hearing 

After a week of recuperation at the hospital, Izabella could now sit up. Her stomach didn’t hurt as much as before but she still felt weak 

Knowing that Izabella had to go to court, the nurse prepared a wheelchair and an IV for her Seeing two full bags of medication, Izabella’s hand ached just looking at them. 

“Can I not have the NV today? It won’t be convenient at the court 

“No,” the nurse cut her off. “Dr. Felton personally said that you can’t stop taking your medication After the hearing, you still have to come back and stay in the hospital”

The nurse stuffed vanous forms into a bag and then pushed Izabella to the front desk payment window 

The hospital was crowded, so to avoid anyone bumping into her, the nurse pushed her to a comer

Hesitating, Izabella answered the phone. “Hello?” 

Various noises came from the phone, but no one responded. She was about to hang up, thinking it was a wrong call when Alan’s voice suddenly came through.

“Sorry the number you have dialed is switched off 

Her tears fell on the phone screen, blurring it as she struggled to wipe them away. She could never reach through, no matter how many times she tried to call
