Back when the Salotti Group was still a thing, Lucas didn't work, and all his cash came from stocks or her.

Now that the Salotti Group's gone, who would've thought he could still come to places like this. And seeing how good he looked, guess these past few months have been pretty sweet for him. Izabella saw him, and her mouth just kinda hung open, like some sharp-edged stone stuck in her throat.

Lucas was all cozy-like with some lady, and you could tell they had a little something going on.

He must've felt her eyes on him, which caused him looking up and was all shocked for a minute before getting all mad and annoyed.

Lucas said somethin' to the woman in his arms, and she gave Izabella this oh-so-snooty look.

Izabella just turned to leave when Lucas piped up.

"Well, well, well, if it ain't my dear little sister! What brings you here?"

Izabella was looking real mad, just stood there like she was glued to the floor, then she managed to say, "If you can be here, why can't I?"

Lucas looked at her fancy appearance, and it really got under his skin. How could Izabella live such a wonderful life when she's the one who wrecked the Salotti family?

That sparkly fishtail gown, the fine jewelry... All added up, that's gotta be at least a mill.

"Brett sure knows how to take care of his sugar baby, doesn't he?"

Izabella didn't wanna deal with him, she touched her earrings. "Sugar baby? We're not even divorced."

"Figured. What else would I expect from a slut like you?"

Lucas just wouldn't stop with the insults. Never working, just partyin' and messin' around. You'd think he'd learn his lesson after the Salotti Group went under, but nah, look at his girl all decked out with her fancy bracelets, necklace, and earrings. Same old Lucas.

The chick hanging onto Lucas chimed in, "Right? And I just saw online that the Windham Group's CEO spent like 5.2 billion for a piece of land, and word is he's building an amusement park for her." Hearing that, Lucas got even more pissed off.

The woman kept stirring the pot. "Your so-called sister ain't really sibling material, is she? Her own company gets bought out by her husband, and she's out there living it up while you, her dear big brother, struggling. And weren't you part of the Salotti Group too? Look at the life you're living now."

"And your dear sister? She's got her tricks. I'm starting to think she deliberately handed the Salotti Group over to Brett."

Lucas clenched his teeth, looking like he was ready to breathe fire.

"Izabella, I should've let Dad kill you back then. You ungrateful bitch, teamed up with outsiders to swallow up the Salotti family legacy. Grandpa must've been blind to give the company to you!" With a sharp, scornful laugh, Izabella shot back, "Oh? Who should he give the company to? You?"

Lucas didn't reply, but the woman next to him did. "It should have been Lucas. It's only natural for a man to lead the family business. Lucas is the rightful heir of the Salotti Group, and if he was in charge, it would never have ended up like this."

Yeah, right. More like it would've gone bust in less than two years, leaving him broke and alone.

Back in the day, Old Mr. Salotti gave Lucas a chance, but he blew the money on wine, women, and gambling. He never spent a single day in the office, so why would anyone trust him with their fortune? Izabella let a sly smile cross her lips as she stared down the woman. "Does the Salotti family's business have anything to do with you?"
