Stephanie heaved a sigh of relief when Jenny said that. As long as they had a lead, with Jenny's and Alec's combined efforts, they'd be able to capture those people quickly.

She shied away from Jenny's gaze and wiped at the corner of her eyes.

Jenny saw her actions but said nothing. "You were impulsive, Stephanie."

"I was just so anxious." Stephanie knew that Jenny was talking about her going to see Paul. Usually, she wouldn't even want to see him, but after something happened to Leonard, she didn't give a damn.

"I thought that you and Leonard were just infatuated with each other. It turns out you like him more than I think," Jenny exclaimed. She didn't even know what else to say.

Stephanie was exasperated. "I didn't think I'd like him so much, either. But now, I'm incredibly worried about him. I can't even explain what I'm feeling."

"I know." Jenny understood because she felt that way about Alec, too.

Maybe this was love.

"When are you planning to marry him, Jenny?" Stephanie suddenly asked.

Jenny was stunned by the sudden question. She looked at Stephanie doubtfully, not sure why she would ask that.

Stephanie smiled in embarrassment. "I just think that after this whole fiasco, we should treasure the people around us more. Marriage is one way to show that."

People could break up anytime when they were dating, and although people could still divorce after marriage, it was different.

"So? Are you telling me that you want to marry Leonard?" Jenny widened her eyes. Shock could not even begin to describe how she felt.

Stephanie blushed embarrassedly. "Kind of."

When she saw how stunned Jenny was, she said hurriedly, "But don't you worry. I'll only marry him after you marry Alec."

"Oh, so now you're rushing Alec and me to get married because we're making you wait?" Jenny rolled her eyes. She had no idea what went through Stephanie's head sometimes.

Stephanie felt even more embarrassed. "I just think that you guys will marry soon."

Soon? Jenny didn't think that the stars were aligned yet. There was still a long way to go before she married.

"You can marry him whenever you want. You don't have to wait for us," Jenny said. Stephanie wasn't a child. She could make her own decisions. As her friend, all Jenny thought she needed to do was support her.

"No way. I've sworn not to marry before you do." Stephanie wouldn't marry with ease of mind unless Jenny married happily.

Jenny was at a loss for words. She had no idea when Stephanie had made this vow.

"Oh well. I'll stop talking about this with Stephanie. We can talk after Leonard is found." Right as she thought that, her phone rang. It was Alec.

She picked up and exchanged conversation with him, then hung up. "They've found Leonard."

"Have they? Is he alright? Where is he?" Stephanie was agitated.

"He's already on the way back to Bardoff City, but he's injured. They'll probably send him straight to the hospital," Jenny replied.

Stephanie paled. "Injured? Is it serious?"

"Relax. He'll be fine." Jenny got up and asked, "Are you coming?"

Stephanie stood up at once. "Of course."

They had only just gotten back home, and they were already leaving. Stephanie's parents were bewildered. They had no idea what the girls were doing.
