Third Person View

It was manic. Nobody understood what was going on. They all huddled together by the mountainside to look for the source of the continuous pounding but nobody could find it.

It made no sense. Where could it be coming from?

The arena shook from side to side and Elena let out a small scream. It was as if the land was hanging by a thread, swinging back and forth. Trees started falling down to the ground in defeat and screams were heard from far away. Far into those woods the rest of the children are being crushed by trees and falling rocks. Animals rush into their once-powerful fortress. Their once-powerful leader runs away towards the mountain leaving her army along with her dead second in command.

But what was this? A test? Maybe. But it isn't.

Above this catastrophe is a revolution. And inside that revolution is a man named Harry and a woman named Sarah. Sarah stands watching this play out whilst sweat drips from her forehead and fists pound outside for her to open up. Harry stands ready with a gun in hand to defend his dead lover and tortured daughter.

The seconds are going down. The deaths are going up. And right in the middle is a choice. Science or Survival.

The choice has not been confirmed. There still is time to change it.

The children below hide as more and more debris crumbles before them. As history always says, these children have no choice. No vote, no say. All they can hope is everything goes their way. But life is never easy.

A tree half as tall as the mountain itself breaks into two heading straight down to the children. Without hesitation, all of the children stumble away but there is hardly anywhere to go. It turns out the fallen trees have sunk straight through the floor leaving huge holes in their path. They all gasp at the world beneath them. Pure brown waters. They were trapped against the mountain edge where they can only hope nothing coming charging their way.

The door of the control room is broken open and a gunshot screams out its anger, the choice is finally confirmed. All stops still.
