The Unexpected Mate

Layla is caught between a rock and a hard place. She has found the male she thought she would mate and bond with, in bed with her sister. She hates this pack and the way they treat others. This was just the final straw and Layla prepares to leave her pack. Unexpectedly, however, Layla finds herself staring her true mate down in a chance encounter. A dangerous alpha of another pack, but Layla is not going to take anyone's shit anymore. Even her true mate's and he is in for a world of hurt if he thinks she will bend to him. It just inflamed my anger at his actions more. I contemplated jumping forward and hitting him with this stool I held really hard, to smack that smile off his face. “What a lovely feisty female you are.” He nearly purred it at me. He came forward. I didn’t even hesitate to swing at him. True mate or not, he was being a dick robbing a hospital. For a wolf, a true mate was irresistible in terms of needs, but it didn’t mean you didn’t have your own thoughts or opinions. A lesson I was willing to teach him.
