Chapter 78 Summoned Back to the CEO 

“Glacier Lake’s plan? What does that have to do with me resigning?” Wanda rested her chin in her hands, her expression a mix of confusion and bewilderment. 

Judy eagerly provided an explanation, her eyes twinkling with excitement. “Wanda, listen up! Gwyneth has just taken the reins as the CEO of Glen Corporation, and she’s determined to handle the Glacier Lake project all by hersell. Can you imagine?” Judy’s voice carried a playful undertone. 

She aimed to include Wanda in her inner circle, making her future endeavors smoother. She continued, “If Gwyneth continues to push ahead with this solo act, our company will be on the verge of bankruptcy. That’s why we need to ‘lend her a hand“.” 

In response to Judy’s words, Wanda cut to the chase. “How can we help?” 

“Of course, it’s by finding out about her plan. That way, we’ll secure our position, reap the benefits, and make your days much brighter,” Judy replied. 

Lost in thought, Wanda lowered her head. Judy wore a self–satisfied smile as she observed Wanda, discreetly signaling the server to take their orders without interrupting Wanda’s contemplation.. 

Once their dishes were served and the server departed, Wanda finally raised her head. “Judy, I appreciate your help. I now understand what needs to be done.” 

“You’re a smart girl and I trust your expertise in navigating each step better than anyone else.” Judy said, raising her glass in a toast to Wanda. 

Judy drank half of her glass of red wine, while Wanda merely took a sip. As the glasses settled on the table, Wanda’s brow remained creased with concern. 

“I know it’s too early to ask this now, but if I succeed…” 

Judy interjected, her tone laced with arrogance. “You will remain a secretary.” She gulped down the remaining red wine, her demeanor exuding confidence. “But you’ll either be my secretary or my father’s secretary.” 

Although Judy wore a conceited expression, Wanda’s furrowed brows revealed a slight hint of unease, unnoticed by her companion. 

Wanda then asked, “Well, what about our CEO, Gwyneth Glen…” She anxiously nibbled on her lip, anticipation radiating from her. 

As expected, Judy burst into laughter, perhaps fueled by the effects of the alcohol or the prospect of success. “Where will Gwyneth be then? That bitch won’t be anywhere near Glen Corporation.” 

“Alright then, I understand,” Wanda replied, raising her glass once more in a toast to Judy. She took another small sip, barely wetting her 

lips. 

The following day, during work hours, Wanda called Judy, and they arranged to meet in the same break room. 

“Wanda, why are you calling me at this hour?” Judy’s tone carried a hint of displeasure, as she couldn’t help but feel summoned and ordered around by Wanda’s unexpected call. 

Wanda smiled mysteriously and pulled out a crumpled piece of paper from her pocket. “Judy, this is for you.” 

“What is this?” Judy took the paper from Wanda’s hand, a look of confusion on her face. She quickly scanned its contents, and her gaze became transfixed. “Th–This is the plan for Glacier Lake prepared by Gwyneth?” 

“Yes, she’s currently in a meeting. Since she doesn’t require my presence, I took the opportunity to make a copy.” Wanda explained, her excitement shining through her expression. 

In Judy’s eyes, Wanda seemed lost in a reverie, still holding on to the idea of being a CEO’s secretary. Judy silently thought to herself, ‘This girl is naive. My father and I would never hire someone who previously worked for Gwyneth.” 

The meeting between the two didn’t linger any longer. Wanda was afraid of raising Gwyneth’s suspicion, so she handed the documents to Judy and quickly left the break room. Meanwhile, Judy immediately called Gaspard. 

“Dad, your suggested plan is simply brilliant!” 

“What? Did that Wendy or Wonda take the bait?” 

As expected, this father and daughter understood each other with just a few words. 

“Yes. She’s a fool. I merely mentioned that she could retain her position as a CEO’s secretary, and she willingly handed over the plan!” Judy stood in a secluded corner, her voice brimming with barely contained excitement. The thought of ousting Gwyneth from Glen Corporation brought her immense joy. 

“What? You obtained it so quickly?” Gaspard remained somewhat skeptical, as events were progressing unexpectedly smoothly. After all Gwyneth was someone who had skillfully manipulated her own family into relinquishing control of the family business to her. 

*Dad. I have the plan in my hands. How could it be anything but genuine?” Judy glanced over the Glacier Lake plan once more, her elation impossible to conceal. “I’ll make a copy of it for you as soon as I return to my office.” With those words. Judy ended the call and turned to 

head back to her workstation. 

As she passed by the CEO’s office, Gwyneth emerged from within. 

Judy took the initiative to greet her. “Hi, Ms. Glen.” 

Gwyneth paused momentarily, a smile gracing her lips. “I assume your workload has decreased since becoming a low–level employee. hasn’t it?”
