The Supreme God of Martial Arts
Chapter 662 Holy Tomb

It turns out that Eddie Xu, an Elder of the Veritable Demon Sect died seven hundred years ago. His coffin has been here since his death!" Austin thought, sighting an opportunity.

Meanwhile, he had also spotted a thick sabre at the bottom of the coffin after the Elder's corpse had turned to ashes. The sabre was four times bigger than an ordinary one. Moreover, its blades were not sharp. Since he didn't know much about weapons, Austin couldn't tell the level of this sabre.

Out of curiosity, he stretched out to pick up the sabre.

As soon as he lifted the sabre, he knitted his eyebrows.

"It's too heavy!" he exclaimed.

Even though he had extraordinary physical strength, he could barely pick up the sabre. Waving it around was out of the question.

His arms were strong enough to carry a thirty thousand pounds heavy object. However he found it tiresome to hold the sabre.

"This sabre must be weighing at least 30, 000 pounds!" he murmured. He found it difficult to wield the sabre.

“What the hell is this sabre made of?" he wondered.

He looked carefully at the sabre in his hand, but he found there was nothing particular about it except it was bigger than the usual ones. He had no idea what it was made of that it was so heavy.

“The sabre must have been Eddie Xu's weapon.

With such a heavy weapon, I don't think anyone would have dared to fight him.

Not only that, he must have possessed enormous physical strength Otherwise, he couldn't have chosen this saber as his weapon.’

The thought of Eddie's physical power made him tremble with fear. After practicing the Overlord Body-refining Formula, Austin had been convinced that most cultivators couldn't match him with regards to physical strength. But now he had come across someone like Eddie. He was suddenly aware that he was nothing as compared to the Elder. “There is a huge difference between me and Eddie. In terms of physical power, I am like a baby while he was a bulky adult, * he thought bitterly. After he shook off those annoying, unpleasant thoughts, he held on to the saber and started to wield it. A few seconds later, he was so exhausted that he put the weapon back on the coffin.

He moved forward and opened all the coffins that were there.

To his surprise, each corpse in the coffins had a Jade Badge. As he read the information on those badges, he had gotten to know that all the dead bodies in those coffins were the elders and stewards of the Veritable Demon Sect.

Some had died seven hundred years ago, some six hundred years ago and some five hundred years ago The list went on. Some had been dead for decades.

It turned out all the people in the coffins had been from the Veritable Demon Sect.

And Austin found there was a heavy weapon in each coffin.

“Marwell was right. The people of the Veritable Demon Sect only practice body refining skills. All those elders were physical-practicing cultivators.

Even the lightest one weighs over 10, 000 pounds. The weights of most weapons here must range from at least 30, 000 pounds to 100, 000 pounds.’

Austin had tried to carry a weapon which weighed 100, 000 pounds with all his strength but failed. So he activated his vital energy force and finally lifted it.

He even spotted several weapons which weighed up to 200, 000 pounds in the Elders’ coffins.

He was startled.

If he was facing an opponent with such a heavy weapon, Austin would have definitely backed away.

“Oh my Gosh!

What the hell have I broken into?!" he screamed inside.

He cooled down after a while, and then looked around.

“So this is a place to keep the remains of the deceased Elders and stewards of the Veritable Demon Sect, I guess, * he wondered. Something seemed suspicious.

He had to find a clue somehow.

“But why would the teleportation array transfer people from a deserted mine to this place?" he wondered, failing to find a convincing answer. He suddenly caught a glimpse of ten coffins in the east corner. Their black surface was glossy, and it gave off an evil aura

Those coffins caught Austin's attention. He had a feeling that something was going on with those mysterious coffins.

He dashed towards them.

Each coffin had a spirit tablet on it.

On it was written the name, identity and death time of the deceased. "Oh jeez!"

Austin was taken aback as he saw what was written on the tablets.

The coffins were of the former leaders of Veritable Demon Sect.

Austin came forward, and with a wave of his hand, he removed the cover on one of those coffins.

A giant who was three meters tall came in his view. To Austin's shock, his remains had been so well-kept that he looked more like a person who had dozed off.

Austin displayed his powerful spiritual sense and made sure that he was dead.

Considering that the corpse was still releasing an overbearing energy, Austin surmised that the giant must have boasted striking physical strength when he was alive.

Beside the giant was a five-meter long hammer.

Austin held the handle of the hammer and attempted to pick it up. However, even though he gathered all his strength, it didn't move an inch.

Austin was astonished but he was also slightly upset. Instead of giving up, he decided to give it another shot. He summoned all of his vital energy, channeled it into his arm and tried to lift the hammer again. To his dismay, he failed again.

“What the heck?

How heavy is this hammer?

I can't carry it even after using my vital energy and physical strength together.

But the leader used it as his weapon. I can't imagine how powerful his physical strength would be, * he exclaimed to himself.

Austin marveled at the leader's physical power.

Even though he couldn't imagine how strong the leader's strength was before his death, he knew that he would have been killed if he had fought against him.

After making several futile attempts to pick up the hammer, Austin suddenly felt a spiritual sense energy enter his head. Its aggressive power destroyed the defense of his Soul Sea and broke into it. He felt like his head was about to explode. An excruciating pain filled him. The pain was unbearable and it was killing him.

Austin's face turned pale. Realizing that he was in trouble, he sat down with his legs crossed immediately and unleashed his spiritual sense to figure out what was going on in his Soul Sea. He summoned all his spiritual sense to surround the intruder's spiritual sense power.

He was astonished to find that it was the big guy, the hammer's master, who was in his Soul Sea.

But it looked like he would disappear like a gust of cloud at any moment.

'I see. This is the leader's soul, he thought.

His mind was set at ease as he sensed that the spiritual sense power of the giant's soul was weaker than his.

It meant he had no trouble handling the intruder.

"Boy, I know you're not a disciple of our Veritable Demon Sect. Who the heck are you? Why did you break into our Holy Tomb?

The Holy Tomb is a restricted area. Even our disciples are forbidden to get in here. You are just an outsider, and yet you barged in here. You must die!"

The giant's soul roared in Austin's Soul Sea.

"I see.

A Holy Tomb?

Turns out this is Veritable Demon Sect's Holy Tomb. That's why there are so many remains of its leaders, elders and steward here,” Austin muttered.

"Looks like I barged into the Holy Tomb of Veritable Demon Sect uninvited," he thought.
