The Supreme God of Martial Arts
Chapter 607 The Grade Four Primordial Elixir

Austin had mastered several skills and weapons now. He could proficiently apply the Brutal Blast Fist, having refined the skill to the level of Major Achievement Stage. This enabled him to launch the powerful fist energy from over a long distance at his enemies and strike at them with a deadly precision. But his current effective range was only a radius of two hundred meters. However, once he could practice the Brutal Blast Fist to the highest degree within the Major Achievement Stage, he would be able to shatter anything within a radius of eight hundred meters into pieces with the prodigious force of the fist.

Austin had already noticed that the Brutal Blast Fist was especially useful in a surprise attack. He could effectively strike at his enemies in secret if he was able to launch an explosive assault while still a distance away from his target.

So he was determined to refine the Brutal Blast Fist to an even higher level, no matter how long it took him.

As for the Flame Swordsmanship, he had attained the second level, which meant he was able to condense two swords of vital energy from his own immense vital energy.

Cultivators practicing the Flame Swordsmanship could achieve three levels in total, with the third level being the highest and most desired one. At this level the practitioner was able to condense their vital energy and shape three swords. As each of these swords needed to be activated by a Spiritual Sword Aura, cultivators at the third Flame Swordsmanship level must create the third Spiritual Sword Aura for a third blade from vital energy within their Soul Sea

According to the description in the Flame Swordsmanship Outline, once the third level was achieved and the third sword of vital energy was refined, all three these mighty blades could be arranged in a special order to form the Flame Sword Array.

Sword arraying was different from genuine swordsmanship, as it was a way to connect with sources of energy from within nature. Therefore, with the help of the sword array, its user was able to tap into all energies between heaven and earth to generate mighty powers. So there was no denying that the sword array was potentially much more powerful than swordsmanship.

Austin also dabbled in the knowledge of the Kirin Golden-body Scripture, and intended to practice it to fullest extent.

Among all the martial skills which he was practicing, Austin thought that the Kirin Golden-body Scripture was the most powerful one yet. But it had also proved the most difficult one to practice and perfect. Revising all the martial skills he possessed now, Austin decided to refine the easier ones first. Once all the comparatively easy martial skills had been refined to perfection, he would then be able to move on to improving the more difficult ones.

During all the following days, Austin completely engaged himself in exhaustive practice of the Brutal Blast Fist and the Flame Swordsmanship. He barely slept or ate, as he gave himself over fully to his craft.

After several days, he had gained obviously dramatic progress in the practice of the Brutal Blast Fist, as he was able to launch powerfully explosive energies with his fists over a range of four hundred meters now.

But refining the Flaming Swordsmanship proved more difficult, despite the fact that he had cultivated the third sword of vital energy in a relatively short period.

Since Austin possessed tremendously powerful vital energy in his body, he experienced no great difficulty in shaping the sword by condensing his vital energy.

The difficulty arose when he needed to cultivate the third Spiritual Sword Aura in his Soul Sea!

The so-called Spiritual Sword Aura was actually an ideological intention in a sword's shape. It was formed by refining a cultivator's swordsmanship skill and condensing the sword intent the cultivator had grasped or the sword potential the cultivator had possessed into his Soul Sea.

To condense the Spiritual Sword Aura in the Soul Sea, that relied greatly on the cultivated levels of swordsmanship which had been achieved. However, in terms of swordsmanship cultivation, Austin had only reached the first level of sword potential. With this level, he had previously forged two Spiritual Sword Auras in his Soul Sea. If he wanted to condense the third Spiritual Sword Aura, then he would have to bolster his swordsmanship cultivation to an even higher level. Austin had tried to forge the third Spiritual Sword Aura several times, but he had failed time and again. In frustration, he temporarily gave up practicing the Flame Swordsmanship.

He decided to attempt refinement of it once he had achieved a higher swordsmanship base in the future.

With the remaining days, he planned to refine some useful elixirs. Austin had purchased many costly grade four elixirs before he left the imperial capital city.

His Soul Sea currently possessed the knowledge and experience for the refining of elixirs acquired by Angus throughout his long and illustrious life. So it was easy for him to recall any knowledge concerning the cultivation of an elixir, as long as that kind of elixir had been familiar to Angus’ mind. Angus had done him such a favor in this, so that Austin didn't have to grope around in exploring the arts of elixir cultivation anymore.

As a result, Austin now found few difficulties in elixir cultivation. The only thing he needed to do was to practice the skill. Repeated practice would improve his skill and help him become much more experienced. As the time passed, he would definitely adapt himself into a capable elixir refiner and boost his elixir cultivation skill to a higher level.

The cave where Austin dwelt was quiet. It was a perfect place for reflection, cultivation, and training.

He was sitting cross-legged in the cave, meditating. The world around him was only an echo to which he paid no mind as he deepened his focus.

In front of him were placed the puce colored herbal pot and collections of various grade four elixirs.

All the elixirs had been selected as base materials for a special elixir called the Primordial Elixir.

The Primordial Elixir was a special kind of grade four elixir, useful in recovering a warrior's vital energy.

So the Primordial Elixir was extremely valuable to cultivators at the Mysterious Realm level, and many of them were eager to obtain a Primordial Elixir.

If cultivators at the Mysterious Realm level had expended too much of their vital energy, they could renew their lost energies within a very short period by taking just one pill of the Primordial Elixir, since the elixir's effectiveness in energy recovery was beyond imagination.

The Primordial Elixir was also useful for warriors at the Sky Realm level to recover their vital energies to a lesser degree.

Again, Austin reviewed the recipe for the Primordial Elixir in his Soul Sea. With a nimble wave of his hand, he selected a portion of the material elixirs suitable for the refining of the Primordial Elixir, and threw these into the herbal pot. He then meditated and guided the Scorching Evil Fire from within his body to dart towards the fire chamber in the lower part of the herbal pot with a fleeting speed. It immediately kindled the herbal pot and set the contents to a slow simmer.

Austin refined the elixir with his energy while carefully perusing the information about elixir cultivation contained in his Soul Sea. He checked every detailed tip and key point that were relevant in refining of this elixir, making a careful analysis of and comparison between them. Since he had already absorbed so much useful information, he was able to correct his mistakes before they occurred

He practiced the art of elixir cultivation with such precision, as if there was a master elixir cultivator by his side guiding him. Clearly his skill in elixir cultivation had improved dramatically.

About ten days had passed since Austin first began to refine the Primordial Elixir. Austin looked at the herbal pot with an expectant expression, evaluating whether the elixir had been successfully cultivated. He tapped the cauldron slightly, and a crimson elixir massively imbued with spiritual energy tumbled from the opening. Austin held the powdery lump in one of his palms like a precious pearl, a pleasant herbal scent wafted from it. He savored the scent indulgently.

"This grade four elixir is indeed much better than the grade three elixirs. The fragrance alone makes a huge difference. This is fantastic!"

Austin murmured with satisfaction while he observed the first Primordial Elixir which he had successfully cultivated.

Austin resumed his refining of the Primordial Elixir without any rest. He utilized all of the elixir materials to successfully cultivate more than twenty of the Primordial Elixirs.

After all the work of refining had been concluded, Austin decided to try the effects of the Primordial Elixir. He placed one of the pills into his mouth and swallowed it down eagerly.

He felt the pill slide down his throat and into his stomach and, all of a sudden, a clear seething flood of vital energy sprang from it. The vital energy surged and expanded rampantly throughout his body. He felt his strength renewed and vitality swept through him

The vital energy created by the Primordial Elixir was pure and strong. Austin nodded with a deep sense of satisfaction. He was certain that just one pill of the Primordial Elixir was quite enough to completely recover the vital energy force of a warrior at the Mysterious Realm level. It would also be helpful in renewing the vital energy of a warrior at the Sky Realm level to some extent.

Austin rallied all of the vital energies generated by the Primordial Elixir and guided them into his vital energy stone.

It was Austin's sound habit to store some of his vital energies in his vital energy stone. He saved them for any sudden future needs.

Since Austin was at a high level of his vital energy cultivation base, his vital energy was so abundant and amply fruitful that it was rare for him to exhaust all of it. But nothing was impossible! There might be a chance that an unforeseen circumstance would lead to his energy being exhausted. To guard against such a risk, Austin had stored copious amounts of vital energies in his vital energy stone.

Time had moved along fleetingly and in just the blink of an eye, one whole month had passed.

Austin stared off into the distance, and his eyes lingered in the direction of the Ghost Sect Headquarters. He was calm in expression, but there was a fervent fire burning in his eyes. He had made up his mind and resolved to obtain the five corpse demons, no matter what the cost. After ordering Violet and the gnome to return to the Illusion Bead, Austin swiftly leaped into the air and immediately disappeared

When his shadow brushed over the clouds again, he was already six or seven hundred meters away.

As its name indicated, the Ghost Mountain was a fear inspiring place and would easily arouse terror in anybody's heart. Somewhere beneath the mountain slopes, a hidden cellar lay quietly under the cover of thick trees and creeping plants.

Its sinister entrance was only half visible when the breeze stirred the green camouflaging foliage around it from time to time.

Three persons were standing in front of the ominous entrance. One of them was Buck, the newly-appointed head of the Ghost Sect, and the other two were the newly-appointed assistant heads of the Ghost Sect. They all felt elated and their faces were full of dark excitement, as the moment they had been anticipating would very soon be at hand.
