Chapter 562 Cultivating In Lightning

Austin, Violet and the gnome walked for days in the direction of the Violet Orchid Empire from the outskirts of the Grand Desolation Mountain. During these days, the gnome disappeared from time to time. Austin knew that it was lively by nature, and couldn't stay quiet for a long time.

After a short while, the sky was darkened over, and the faint sound of thunder could be heard coming from the roiling clouds.

Austin murmured, looking up at the dark clouds.

Just then, the rumble rang out and lightning flashed, making the hairs on the back of his neck stand erect in response.

Not far away, a huge tree was struck by a lightning bolt. The massive trunk exploded upon impact and its remains caught on fire.

"What a loud thunder snap!”

Looking at the burning tree, Austin suddenly thought of something, and a smile appeared on his face. Glancing up he saw that bright golden lights seemed to pierce the clouds. Obviously, these were flashes of lightning forming as the storm settled over them.

Austin stared at them with anticipation.

"Rumble..." Several minutes later, with the booming of deafening thunder, lightning crackled.

And the entire land was cowered by thunder and lightning as the electric storm raged overhead.

Sensing the building momentum of the storm, Austin became more excited.

"Violet, hurry! Go hide in the Illusion Bead with the gnome,”

Austin said.

"Master, are you going to absorb the momentum and energy of the thunder and lightning?"

Violet asked, a note of fear in her voice.

"Of course! I have refined the beast soul and the Thunder Elixir according to the method which the thunder unicorn gave to me. If I keep on absorbing energy from the thunder and lightning of nature, I will become more powerful and more experienced in the control of that energy.

This is an excellent opportunity for cultivation and I won't waste it,” Austin replied excitedly.

Looking up at the streaks of raging lightning in the sky, Violet's scalp went numb. She knew Austin would never miss any opportunity related to cultivation. However, this seemed dangerous to her. She then shrugged helplessly and said, "Understood, Master, please be careful.” With that, she led the gnome into the Illusion Bead and hid

Austin looked around for a suitable spot to start his cultivation and then jumped up and floated toward the highest mountain near him. After a brief moment, he had flashed to the peak of the mountain and was closer to the lightning which continued flashing in the clouds.

On the peak, Austin felt the overwhelming destructive momentum from the lightning. It was a raw and elemental energy unlike any he had cultivated before. Although he had prepared mentally, he was still nervous when faced by the raging lightning. Under the dense electrical forces flashing across the sky, he felt himself become as small as an ant. After a short while, the dark clouds sank even lower, and the raw energy of the thunder and lightning seemed to have reached a climax. Finally, as the clouds seemed to envelop the mountain peak, it went berserk!

Flashes of lightning crackled around the peak where Austin knelt in meditation, and it also struck the nearby peaks. In an instant, many towering trees turned into coal spires as plumes of black smoke rose to the sky. Seeing this, Austin’s heart thumped even faster.

He sat on the ground with his legs crossed and clasped his hands together according to the method which the thunder unicorn had taught him. Immediately, a strange palm print materialized in the air before him.

Then he summoned the Thunder Elixir which located in his belly. Soon, it emerged from his body and transferred to the palm print.

At this crucial moment, accompanied by a barrage of violent thunder and lightning, the clouds opened and heavy rain poured down drenching everything.

Austin focused on the lightning which ruled the sky and suddenly activated the Thunder Elixir. As if on cue, a lightning bolt the thickness of an arm shot out from the mystic elixir and rushed towards the sky. Finally, it hit several beams of lightning in the sky.

"Rumble!"

The lightning streaks in the sky quickly rushed towards Austin, like serpents baring their fangs after being awakened from sleep.

Seeing several beams of extremely thick lightning rushing at him, Austin immediately took a deep breath and released his golden vital energy force to cover and shield him.

Meanwhile, he mentally summoned the beast soul of the thunder unicorn. Its huge shadow appeared overhead as it covered him beneath the magical body.

Traveling at an extremely high speed, the lightning bolts reached the peak and rushed toward Austin with an unstoppable momentum. All of nature seemed to hold its breath at the moment of impact!
