I woke up with a very bitter-sweet feeling this morning. I have accomplished so much you think I would be excited to go home, but part of me didn’t want to leave Madison and Mason. I woke up early and got ready for my flight. I put on a black v-cut shirt, dark grayish blue jeans and my black boots. Before I knew it, I had to head out. Madison drove me to the airport. Right before I left she reminded me to keep in touch. We slowly departed with a hug and I barely made my flight. It felt like forever. I just stared out the window trying to push thoughts of my future out of my head. I didn’t want to think about it right then.

Once I got off the plane, I walked to baggage claim. As I walked through the rotating as I door and saw Jason and I ran into his arms. He wrapped his arms around my waist, and picked me up. I kissed him passionately in the air. Once he set me down, I slowly pulled away from the kiss.

“No more separation. It kills me to be away from you.” Jason whisper softly in my ear.

“No promises my love.” As much wished I could make that promise, but I couldn’t.

“I know.” he said as he pulled away.

“Let’s get your bags and go home. Harrison is dying to see you.”

It didn’t take long to get my things. We then walked out to Jason’s car. First time I saw it; he got it in my absence. He got himself a silver Dodge Challenger. It was so sweet! We didn’t talk much on the ride home. He just told me what I missed, which wasn’t much. I told him a lot of what happened while I was away; like what I learned and what happened between me and Alice. I pretty much told him everything but the fact I remembered everything when I woke up and that Alice is my younger half sister. I thought I would say it when Harrison and Jason were there together so I only had to say it once.

Once we got home, Harrison hugged me right when I walked through the door.

“I missed you too.” I said as I hugged him back and then let go. I then looked at Jason who was setting my stuff down by the stairs behind Harrison.

“Hey Jason, weren’t you searching for your father before the chaos happened?” Jason quickly ran and hugged me.

“You remember! I quit after you disappeared. I made it my goal to find you first.” I hugged him back staring at Harrison.

“I remember everything.” I put emphasis on everything while I glared at Harrison. At that moment he knew I remembered my ultimatum.

“Uh... about that.” Harrison spoke up. “Jason” Jason quickly let go of me and turned to Harrison. I think he knew what he was about to say. “I am your father.”

Jason was mad. He quickly decked Harrison. “You left us! And you lied to me!” He yelled at Harrison.

“No! Your mother kicked me out. She would not support my duty of working for the king. She wanted me to quit for her, and I couldn’t. I never lied to you, I just didn’t tell you. That is why I got you a job after your mother passed.”

Jason cut Harrison off. “I really feel the love getting me a soldier job so I can go fight and die!” Those words set Harrison off.

“Not my intention! Everyone has to start there!” He yelled back. “I love you. How do you think you got promoted to castle duty so quick? That was me, I wanted you to be close. I wanted to get to know my son.”

Jason took a few deep breaths to calm down. “Are there any other secrets I need to know?” He said rudely.

“Well.” I broke in. “Alice is my younger half sister.”

Jason quickly turned to me wide-eyed. I then saw his expression change back to normal as he thought about it. “Actually, that would explain a lot of things. Like your rudeness... oh and that anger.”

I sighed. “Thanks Jason, I really feel the love between us. I’m actually going to work on my anger and attitude.” I said harshly. I looked down trying to calm down and then I looked back up. “I don’t want to be like I was back then. I want to change so I can change the Otherside for the better.”

Harrison broke in. “Let’s have lunch shall we?” he tried to bring the mood to a more positive not.

“Sure.” I responded.

We all sat down at the table, including Nikki. We all were eating sandwiches, I noticed Nikki praying. “You know, we all should pray. I mean before we eat.” I said. Nikki looked up with a big grin. “Nikki? Do you want to lead?” She was excited. She led us in prayer, and then we ate. Shockingly it was civil. It seemed that Harrison and Jason were okay. Just looking at them I could see the resemblance. I can’t believe I didn’t see it sooner. The rest of the day went by pretty fast. I realized this is as normal as it will ever be. My life has officially changed. I’m not a high school girl, I’m a shapeshifter and witch from the Otherside.

Days have been passing quicker being back in my life again. Snowflake is going to be attending school as herself, well except she will shift her hair black so she looks normal. Things are setting up quite nicely. With Alex, Jason, Harrison, Nikki and the troops back home I should have nothing to fear, right? Then why do I keep having nightmares about what is to come. I’m scared I won’t live to see the end of this story. I fear I won’t be able to make the change I wish to see. I hope I’m just nervous and that I’m just over thinking things. I’m sure everything will be okay. In the end I will only know in time.
