Chapter 100 

Julian sneered and stared at Alexandra’s red ears. He said softly, “Well, then we have to work harder. Grams is in good health now. If we have a baby earlier, Grams can help us take care of the baby for more years.” 

Josephine obviously liked this topic. Thus, she agreed and said, “Exactly! However, Alex is still at university. You should remember protections if you don’t want a baby temporarily. Although I do want to see my grandchild earlier, I’m not such a stubborn old fogey. Julian, don’t push Alex so hard. Do you hear me?” 

Alexandra wanted to run away. 

Alexandra thought, “What is going on? 

“Who said I will have a baby with Julian?” 

Julian secretly glanced at Alexandra and noticed that the little girl’s face was turning blood red. 

Julian nodded and replied, “Yes, Grandma. I’ll follow your words.” 

After dinner, Josephine went out for a walk alone. 

Julian was clearing the dishes in the kitchen. 

Alexandra hesitated for a long time before she slowly walked to the kitchen door and poked her head out, saying, “Mr. Ranford.” 

Julian placed the washed dishes in the disinfection cabinet and turned to look at Alexandra. He replied, “Yes?” 

Alexandra held onto the kitchen door frame with her small hands, blinking cutely. Then, she slowly said, “Well, when I was chatting with grandma just now, she mentioned grandpa. Then grandma got slightly upset. Therefore, I said that I wanted to give birth to a baby. I just wanted to make grandma happy. Don’t be angry, and don’t misunderstand.” 

Julian thought, “It turned out that Alexandra was thinking about this.” 

Julian smiled and said, “I understand it. You were just saying it to make Grams happy. Don’t worry, I won’t misunderstand it. I’m not angry, either.” 

Julian would not tell Alexandra, who was very nervous, that he was not angry at all when he heard what she said. Instead, Julian was inexplicably happy. 

Alexandra was relieved. She smiled and nodded, “Okay! That would be great! I don’t want to have a baby with you!”

Julian would not expose his emotions. Therefore, he said calmly, “No problem. Grandma said that you’re in school now. It’s not a good time to have a baby. We’ll talk about it two years later.” 

Alexandra did not think that there was anything wrong with what Julian said, so she did not reply to Julian. 

Alexandra’s thoughts were always strange. At this moment, Alexandra did not care about whether she would have a baby or not. She suddenly said to Julian, “Mr. Ranford. Grandma and grandpa were deeply in love!” 

Julian turned around and continued to clean up the cutlery. He glanced at Alexandra from the corner of his eye. He thought, “Alexandra must be bored 

and wants to chat with someone.” 

Julian replied as he did the cleaning, “Yes, they’ve been married for more than 40 years. They’re each other’s first love.” 

“Wow! Sounds romantic!” Alexandra leaned against the door frame. It seemed she was jealous. 

Then Alexandra changed her thoughts again. She asked Julian curiously, “Hey, Mr. Ranford, where’s your first love? Mr. Ranford, you’ve been in love so many times. Which girlfriend left the deepest impression on you?” 

Julian paused for a moment. He turned around to look at Alexandra. He saw the little girl leaning against the door curiously, looking at him, blinking her eyes. 

Julian stared at Alexandra, who was about four feet away. Julian thought, “I won’t tell her I have never been in a relationship. 

“Firstly, Alexandra would definitely not believe me. Secondly, I’m too embarrassed to admit it.” 

Julian stared at the expectant Alexandra and said, “How can you inquire about your boss’s privacy?” 

Alexandra did not expect Julian to say that. She pouted and said, “If you don’t want to tell me, then don’t! I don’t want to know.” 

After saying that, Alexandra turned around and pouted. 

Chapter 100 

Julian watched Alexandra slowly walk away and suddenly had many emotions for no reason. 

Julian thought, “What about you, 

“What about your first love? 

Alexandra? 

“Where is the man you dated in Costonshire three years ago?” 

“Did you like him very much?” 

Julian was also cunous, wanting to know the answers to those questions, 

However, Julian did not want to ask, nor did he dare to. 

With fatigue and frustration in his eyes, Julian sighed and continued to finish the rest of the work. 

The next day was the first day of the national day holidays. 

When Alexandra woke up in the morning, she realized that her ankle was no longer red. She moved it a few times and found that it did not hurt very 

much. 

Alexandra was pleasantly surprised because it meant she could hang out with Emery during the holidays! 

Alexandra shouted inside, “I want to have some delicious food with Emery! 

“I’ve been at home for the past week. The grass is going to grow on my body!” 

However, Alexandra still had something important to do today. Yesterday, she had discussed with Josephine that she would visit Yvonne at the hospital today. 

This was because Josephine had said that the Droston family and the Ranford family had some ties. Julian’s father and the leader of Glosecure, Theodore Droston, were old friends. 

Josephine still remembered that Amadeus and Yvonne visited the Ranford family when they were young 

Josephine did not want Alexandra to go. Josephine was afraid that Alexandra’s foot would get worse. Besides, it was inconvenient for Alexandra to go out. Josephine also worried some people with ulterior motives would see it and make a fuss about Alexandra. 

However, Josephine was not that worried when she woke up in the morning and saw that Alexandra could almost walk as before. 

Alexandra did not want Josephine to visit Yvonne alone. 

Alexandra and Josephine decided to sneak out of the house without notifying Julian. They were afraid that Julian would not allow them to do it or that Julian would be distracted from work. 

Alexandra felt guilty. She was not the one who caused Yvonne to swallow a pill to commit suicide. However, Yvonne would not get involved in those events if it was not because of the dispute between Alexandra and Martha. 

Josephine understood what Alexandra was thinking. Therefore, Josephine agreed with Alexandra’s request. 

Moreover, Julian had already told the truth to Yvonne Droston’s brother. Yvonne was probably in a bad mood. 

At around ten in the morning, Alexandra and Josephine held each other and took a cab to the hospital where Yvonne was. 

News was talking about Yvonne these two days. Alexandra was afraid that someone would notice her and write some news about her. Therefore, Alexandra dressed up before she left with Josephine. 

Alexandra had two braids, wearing light blue suspenders. 

Alexandra even wore a mask with kitten patterns on it. 

On the other hand, Josephine was wearing a modified loose blue traditional dress and a brown silk windbreaker. 

Josephine did not have any low–quality clothes. 

In the end, to prevent people from recognizing the matriarch of the Ranford family, Alexandra wrapped a thin and rustic scarf around Josephine’s 

head. 

Josephine covered half of her face and stood beside Alexandra, who was dressed like a country bumpkin. No one would have thought that Josephine was the matriarch of the Ranford family. 

Josephine held her cane to make her look more like an ordinary person. The second reason Josephine took the cane was that Alexandra could use it when she was getting tired from walking. 

When Alexandra and Josephine held each other to the floor where Yvonne was, they realized that no outsiders were in the corridor. 

A few strong and fierce looking men were standing in the corridor. 

Supporting Josephine, Alexandra gasped and whispered, “Grandma, they are the Droston family’s bodyguards, are they? Will they hit me?” 

Josephine patted Alexandra’s arm and said, “Don’t be afraid. The Droston family has a lot of rules. It’s a decent family. They won’t beat people up for 

no reason.
