Chapter 20: Worry

The following day, Princess Mary visited Felicity at her house. Felicity inquired about the distressing tone of their previous phone conversation and asked what Princess Mary wanted to discuss. Princess Mary then revealed that Anne and her father’s son did not actually die. She confessed to paying her lover, Dr. Burnett, to swap the deceased baby with Anne’s baby. Dr. Burnett took Anne and her father’s baby to New York, where the child was placed in a foster home. However, nobody ever adopted Anne and her father’s baby, as the child was born with hemophilia, making it unlikely for anyone to take him in. Surprisingly, King James ended up adopting the baby, as Princess Mary explained.

“Are you suggesting that Andy is the son of King Henry and Anne Brooks?” Felicity asks, chuckling.

“Indeed, that is what I am saying. I want you to eliminate him!” Princess Mary commands.

“Hold on a moment, who do you think you are to give me orders? I am not working for you. I agreed to assist you, so mind your tone! Why do you want to get rid of him?” Felicity inquires.

“I am afraid that my father will discover what I have done and disown me. Dr. Burnett informed me that my father was speaking with Andy. I want to eliminate Andy before my father realizes that he is his son with Anne,” Princess Mary responds.

“I think this could be a good outcome for me. Andy is the eldest son and, according to the law, he is obligated to inherit the throne from his father. Nobody is aware that Andy is actually King Henry’s son. This means that my granddaughter could marry Andy, and once they are married, I will reveal to King Henry that Andy is his son. As a result, my granddaughter will become queen,” Felicity replied.

However, Princess Mary objected, saying, ‘I don’t want that witch’s son to become king. I thought you were going to assist me.’

In response, Felicity clarified, ‘I did promise to help you ruin Anne and your sister Elizabeth. But I won’t assist you in destroying Andy. This is an opportunity for my granddaughter to become queen.’”

“Are you going to tell my dad that I am the one who had Dr. Burnett steal his and Anne’s baby?” Princess Mary asks.

“No, I will figure out how to tell your dad and leave yours and Dr. Burnett’s names out of it,” Felicity assures Princess Mary.

“How are you planning on destroying Anne and Elizabeth?” Princess Mary asks.

“I am not going to tell you. You know you will be a suspect if anything happens to Anne or Elizabeth so the less you know the better. You just have to read about it in the papers,” Felicity replied with a calm and collected tone.

Felicity’s daughter Helen walks into the living room.

“I do not know why you want to destroy Anne and Elizabeth. You will never be queen. King Henry already put Elizabeth and Jessica ahead of you as queen,” Helen replied laughing.

“I hate Anne for breaking my parents’ marriage up,” Princess Mary replied angrily. “Your mother is not angry with Anne, so why can’t you move on?!” Helen asks angrily.

“Why don’t you shut up you witch?!” Princess Mary yells.

“Hey, watch how you speak to my daughter!” Felicity warns Princess Mary.
