THE GREAT SURPRISE

She took deep a breath and typed, ‘Skylar and Matt’s Winter Wonderland Wedding. First encounter with the couple; they’re absolutely head over heels in love as they made out in the balcony overlooking a stunning view of Carnie Cave Valley. The pair is inseparable and friendly’ and she paused a while. ‘This is beginning to sound okay but if I’m going to finish this article I need more from information out of them,’ she told herself. Reaching her mug of hot chocolate, she took a sip of the warm creamy liquid and moaned feeling refresh like mint.

‘To be under the mistletoe with this in my hand is worth having than any other guy,’ she quipped smiling.

After pressing save she shut her laptop off and decided to explore the rest of the cabin-hotel. Suzy found herself in the second floor. Inside the elevator had a platform which indicated the activities they did on each floor. On the second floor was a spacious living room with a large flat screen television; some guests occupied the sofas, others preferred sitting in the balcony indulge in deep conversations. She approached the bar that had a few uniformed and causal dressed men. The bartender, Ronny, glanced her way setting the glass down, his bear DJ winked it’s interest and he came to her aid.

'Would you like a drink, Miss?’ Ronny questioned taking a full of spoon of her body’s shape melting on his heart like ice cream.

Suzy sat down on the high stool leaning on the countertop with crossed arms and smiled, ‘Yes, please.’

Her politeness rocked his inner bear, DJ who spoke to him, ‘She’s the one, Ronny, we need to claim her before our alpha gets her.’

Ronny mentally shook his thought off ignoring his bear, ‘Do you want something light or strong? Like a beer or fruit juice perhaps?’

Suzy thought for a moment and shook her head in denial, ‘I don’t think so. Do you make smoothies? I just feel for something sweet.’

DJ licked his lips, so did Ronny, as he thought, ‘We can give her something sweeter than smoothies, Ronny, you know that. Work me with here, buddy.’

‘Will you calm down nut-ball? With your horny actions you’ll scare the shit out of her and give me a bad reputation I don’t need. Do I have to remind you about last summer with Adrianna, DJ,’ Ronny warned telepathically while smiling. ‘Sure, I do. Do you prefer chocolate, vanilla or strawberry smoothies?’

Suzy’s eyes twinkled while she licked her lips, ‘It has to be a chocolate smoothie’ and chuckled.

Her voice ringed in his ears and his bear’s heart like a bell. ‘She’s the one, Ronny, I’m sure that’s our mate? Adrianna was a mistake,’ DJ said.

‘More like bad judgment. We suffered a lot from that stupid heartache. I can’t tolerate foolishness anymore, neither can you. Just let this woman go already, she’s not the one for us cause I doubt it,’ Ronny argued as his bear groaned.

‘I’m not giving up, Ronny,’ DJ added and shone his platinum effect through his blue eyes talking over him, ‘So do you have a boyfriend?’

Suzy raised her eyebrow and laughed, ‘What?’ and saw the platinum colour appeared in his blue eyes.

Ronny regained control of himself; mentally smacking his bear in the head who winced in a roar sensing him glaring at him and apologised, ‘Sorry about that, you don’t have to answer,’ even though he was just as curious as his inner bear.

‘Uh, no, it's okay. Besides, he called off the engagement. So here I am applying for job here. I doubt I’ll get it,’ Suzy answered softly.

DJ sighed into a big smile, ‘See what I told you. She’s the one, so hurry up do your thing. If Tyler gets her we’re going into hibernation. I could really use some honey drinks right about now.’

Ronny mentally face palmed himself and answered her, ‘I’m sure my boss will hire you. You seem down to earth to me and…’ and DJ took over, ‘and beautiful too, your boyfriend is an A-hole’ and then Ronny pushed him out of the way. ‘So yeah,’ he said.

Noticing the platinum colour in his eyes, Suzy was surprised by his words but she agreed with him greatly and asked, ‘I know, don’t we all deserve better?’

‘Of course we do,’ Ronny smiled at her. Then started working on her chocolate smoothie. He poured milk, chocolate ice cream, chocolate chips and ice into the blender pressing the button. It started to mix until it was smooth before descending into a tall glass sprinkling it with tiny grated vanilla chocolate. Inserting a straw into it and placed the drink in front of her. ‘It's on the house. If you ever want to talk, I’m always here for you…’

‘Suzy, Ronny,’ Suzy introduced as she read his name-tag smiling.

Ronny blushed chuckling, ‘You’re cool, Suzy,’ checking her out looking at everything she has to offer. From her fine bottom curved in like an apple in those jeans and round breasts underneath her blouse, pretty face and kind personality; matched everything he wanted in a woman.

‘You like her, don’t you? You and I both know we’ll have to fight for her against Tyler?’ DJ spoke.

Ronny smirked, ‘So where’s the harm in that?’

‘No wonder we bonded so well over the decades,’ DJ smirked roaring in excitement; making Suzy their mission: mate to capture.

Ronny rolled his eyes mentally at his bear before smiling at her as she enclosed her kissable lips on the straw nodding as they thought, ‘Only if her lips were on me, she did have a tasty creamy vanilla smoothie than the chocolate one.’
