Chapter 33 

HENRIETTA 

The carriage ride back was silent, the rhythmic clatter of the horse’s hooves against the pavement providing a steady backdrop to the whirlwind of thoughts in my mind. The lingering taste of the tea party, the tense moments with Lady Grace, and the surprising kiss from Andreas left a trail of emotions inside me that I could not contain. My feet were restless and so were my hands. 

As the carriage neared the estate, I couldn’t help but steal glances at Andreas, who sat across from me. His playful smirk betrayed the amusement from what transpired earlier. 

“About the kiss–” I stopped as his eyes met mine. And then my eyes went to his lips. 

“What about it? If you wish for us to do it again, I will not complain,” he quipped, his tone suggestive. 

“I did not mean I want us to do it again,” I hissed, whispering as I did not want Aiden to hear. 

Andreas leaned back, crossing his arms, his expression now more serious. “Then what did you mean?” 

I hesitated, grappling with the rush of conflicting emotions. “I meant… that it was for only or show.” 

He raised a brow and a smirk played on his lips as he said, “Rather, I wonder what happened in your little tea party for you to suddenly ask me to kiss you.” 

I shot him a glare, refusing to reveal my jealousy at Lady Grace’s interest in him. “That’s none of your concern,” I retorted, crossing my arms defensively. 

“I’m afraid it is now my concern. You’re the one who dragged me into this.” 

“I—“I closed my mouth, realizing he had a point. But I could not possibly tell him I got possessive of him and did that kiss to show Lady Grace my relationship with Andreas. I needed to come up with an excuse. 

“I–It turns out that we are not very convincing. Lady Grace told me that we do not look like we were excited to get married,” I said, cursing myself for lying. 

Andreas stared at me for a moment and I could not help but get flushed at the intensity 

of his ear

“W–What are you looking at?”

“Did you like it?” he suddenly asked, catching me off guard. “The kiss we shared. Did you enjoy it?” 

My cheeks heated at the question. My eyes darted toward Aiden in the front but then suddenly, Andreas was in front of me, grabbing my chin to look at him. 

“Answer my question, Henrietta,” he whispered, his voice low and seductive. 

“Why are you suddenly doing this?” attempting to maintain composure as he grinned. 

“To distract you and eventually make you tell me the truth of why you suddenly wanted me to kiss you.” 

“Why is that even important?” I wanted to push him but my hand did not seem to want to move. It was as if my whole body wanted him in that proximity. 

His touch became more intimate, tracing the length of my neck, and a shiver ran down my spine when I felt his warm breath on my ear as he whispered, “So I could act on it quickly,” he continued, his hand stopping at the base of my neck. “So I would know when to stop.” 

His lips hovered over the side of my neck, and I closed my eyes, attempting to suppress any revealing sounds. “So I would know if I should continue or stop with just a kiss.” His whispered words intensified the sensations, and I struggled to maintain control. 

“Or if you want me to go further,” he added, his hand now caressing my waist. I shivered and bit my lip as I felt his hand caressing my waist. Suddenly, my dress felt too tight. Suddenly, I wanted him to get rid of it.

“Yes, my lady?” I could feel him smiling as he said those words. “Tell me what you want. Do you want us to stop

How could he ask such a difficult question? My eyes were closed and I felt the sensation even more. His teeth started scraping the spot on my jawline and then finally, he started nipping on my earlobe. With his elbows, he pushed my legs apart and made himself settle there, cornering me completely against the carriage seat. 

“I’m waiting for your response, Henrietta,” he said, voice low, dripped with the flames of desire that graced every spot he touched. 

He bit the base of my neck and it made me let out a moan too loud but was immediately cut off when his hand 

went to my mouth. 

He chuckled as his mouth now hovered over my jawline. “Try to be quiet, my lady.” 

It was impossible to be quiet especially as his mouth started to worship every part of my neck. The sensation completely made me immobile. I could not move—rather, I did not want to move. I felt like I was trapped in a beautiful cage and I did not want to go out even if offered a way out. 

That’s what he was capable of doing. 

And then I felt his hot breath on my cleavage, making me open my eyes. The sensation– it was too much that even as my mind screamed to push him, my body was not following. I could feel his warm breath hovering over my chest and I could hear him moaning as he continued to worship me. 

His hand was still on my mouth and I Was thankful for it for suppressing the moan that almost escaped. His other hand ventured dangerously to my chest, and my toes curled when his knuckled touched the underside of my breast. Even with the dress, I felt it and I felt the tips of my breast peaking against the fabric. 

“What’s your answer, Henrietta? Tell me if you want me to go further,” he said, his voice lower this time. “Tell me what you want me to do. Tell me what your body needs. I will give it to you.” 

He was the devil. His words brought lust in me and I found myself thinking about what I wanted for him to do. Underneath my dress, I could feel my arousal materializing. I wanted to clench my legs but I couldn’t. 

Then I heard him chuckle under his breath as he looked at me. I don’t know what I look like but I was drunk on 

the desire he fed me. 

“I could smell how soaked you are, my lady,” he said. My eyes widened at such vulgar words.

“I am flattered to know I have this effect on you” he continued and then leaned in to whisper to my ear. “I want to let you know that you have the same effect on me too.” 

1 bit my lip as he pulled back and our gazes met. 

It was then that I felt the carriage stop and Aiden announced our arrival that I was pulled back to my senses. Before I could even push Andreas away, he was already back in his seat. 

I stopped my eyes from venturing to his pants as I fixed my dress. I was aware of the flush on my cheek and the 

he was looking at me with the same desire as earlier.

Embarrassment filled–me the instant I realized what I had done. I did not wait for Aiden to open the door, I pulled it open but even the cold breeze was not enough to cure the heat now spread in my whole body. 

Before I could even get out, I heard Andreas call my name. I turned to face him and he smiled as he rested his head over his hand. 

“I shall think of you tonight.” 

And then the carriage left. 

It was when I arrived in my room that I finally realized what he meant by that. 

My knees bucked and I sat on the floor, my hand unconsciously touching the spots in my neck where his lips had 

been. 

I don’t think I will be able to sleep tonight.
