Chapter 18

Gianna cut a sorry figure. When William saw her from a distance, he instantly frowned.

"Marshall, go help her."

Hearing this, Marshall immediately got out of the car with an umbrella. Then like a gentleman, he asked Gianna to take hold of his arm and stand up.

Gianna did not expect that even when she was looking so pitiful, William would still ask Marshall to a**ist her. Her heart sank instantly. Then her eyes turned red. Although she was not reconciled to it, she had achieved her purpose.

Gianna suppressed her emotions and was escorted into the villa.

The car got out of the wind and rain and stopped directly in front of the porch. The door opened and William finally stepped out with his slender legs.

As soon as he entered the door, Gianna went up to him pitifully and said, "William, you're finally back. I heard that Luci's missing. I'm very worried...

There was some rainwater on Gianna's small face, and her eyes were red. She looked very anxious.

As she reached out to grab his arm, he dodged it swiftly.

William glanced at her with a complicated look in his eyes. In the end, he said gently, "Butler, take Miss Clarke to get changed."

"I don't need to change my clothes. Where's Luci? It's raining so hard. I'm really worried about him!"

Noticing the gentleness in William's eyes, Gianna was delighted and decided to strike while the iron was hot.

She had been drenched in the rain and was in such a sorry state because she had to put on a good show in front of William. She would not change her clothes. *Behave!"

"William..."

Just as Gianna was about to say more, William walked past her and went straight upstairs.

But Gianna would certainly not give up so easily. She hiked up her wet dress and followed him.

Before she reached the second floor, the sound of someone running in the upstairs hallway could be heard.

Then, a soft voice was also heard.

Gianna was greatly shocked!

"Daddy, you're back!" Ezra ran over to William with Bally in his arms and reached out to him.

William took the opportunity to hug him closely.

"Yes, I'm back. Daddy's here with you. Don't be afraid." William hugged Ezra and comforted him gently, which was rare for him.

Half an hour ago, on his way back, he received a message from the butler, saying that the latter had found Lucian, who was shivering in the corner of the attic while holding Bally. William felt as if his heart had been squeezed hard.

His heart ached for his son.

Lucian had always been afraid of thunders, but he never spoke in the past. No matter how afraid he was, he only endured it by himself and even hid away in the attic.

Now Lucian finally spoke, but he, as his father, was late.

In William's arms, Ezra felt that the scu mbag had suddenly become so gentle.

Ezra wrapped his little arms tightly around William's neck and rested his chin on his shoulder. Just when Ezra was wanting William to take him back to rest, he looked up and saw the beauty looking like a drowned rat.

The moment Gianna heard Lucian's voice, her heart skipped a beat. Fortunately, she quickly adjusted her mood and ran over quickly.

"Luci? You, you're back? That's great. I've been so worried about you!"

She looked very excited. When she rushed over to grab Ezra's little hand, he tried very hard to dodge her.

Chapter 18

Usually, Ezra was indeed gentler to beautiful women than to ordinary people. But even if this bad woman who was drenched looked beautiful,

he did not want her to touch him.

Ezra instinctively flinched backward, which attracted William's attention.

He stopped and looked at Gianna, who was excited and drenched. "I'll take care of Luci. I'll have Marshall send you back."

"No, William. We've just found Luci. Let me stay with him tonight, okay? In the past, whenever it rained, it was me who accompanied him. I'm really worried about him!"

There was a look of pleading in Gianna's red eyes.

For a second, William hesitated.

Before he could say anything, Ezra shrank back nervously in his arms. Only the boy's eyes were revealed, looking at Gianna carefully.

"Auntie, with Daddy staying with me today, can I not sleep in the attic?"

Hearing what Ezra said, Gianna instinctively retorted, "You brat, don't talk nonsense. When did I ask you to sleep in the attic?"

She nearly said the word "ba stard".

Fortunately, she changed the word in time and maintained her usual gentle tone.

But William was not a fool. His face instantly darkened.

"William, don't listen to Luci's nonsense. How could I let him sleep in the attic? Lucian is the dear baby of our family, and I'm his biological aunt. I really can't treat him badly. You have to believe me!" Gianna hated that little ba stard's guts.

If it weren't for the fact that this brat used to keep his eyes open on rainy days and prevent her from getting her beauty sleep, she wouldn't have locked him up in the attic to keep him out of sight. When William was about to be moved by her gentleness, kindness, and consideration for the child, the little bastard cut the ground from under her feet!

How come the boy was not killed after being thrown off the cliff?

William looked at Gianna with his dark and cold eyes and said in a terrifyingly deep voice, "Children's words are often the most honest!"

As soon as he finished speaking, he turned around and carried Lucian back to the room without even taking a look at Gianna. "William..."

Looking at William's cold back, Gianna was burning with anxiety.

She chased after him awkwardly but was shut out on the other side of the door.

What should she do? She couldn't let William misunderstand her like that.

If she fell out of favor with William now, wouldn't everything she had planned over the past few years be ruined?

It was all because of that little ba stard, Lucian!

Gianna gritted her teeth and wished she could rush in right now, grab that little bastard, and throw him off the roof! He'd be crushed to dust!

The butler, Ivan Shepherd, stood aside and said, "Miss Clarke, the clothes and the hot water are ready. Please change your clothes now." Suppressing the fury in her heart, she looked at her drenched clothes and soon smiled elatedly. "Then I'll go to William's room to change." "Miss Clarke, I don't think that's a good idea. Mr. Kinsman has declared that no one's allowed to enter his room. If I let you in, he'll be unhappy." "Ivan, William and I will be engaged soon. Can't I use his room? Or do you always dislike me and think I'm not worthy of being William's girlfriend? Glanna spoke those harsh words, but she put on the most pitiful look. She looked like she was about to cry

But Ivan still did not dare to let her in. "Miss Clarke, please don't make things difficult for me. Let's go to the guest room!"

Gianna gritted her teeth. Even the butler was making things difficult for her!

Even so, he could not stop her.

Gianna went to the guest room with the clothes in her hand and then went into William's room from the balcony when Ivan was not paying attention. She took a shower in the bathroom and waited for him to come back excitedly.
